The FWWM poem, by the way, was my high school graduation quote for the yearbook. At the time I was worried I'd look back years later and be embarrassed, but now I couldn't be happier that I went for it!

There's no confusion about 'chants'. Frost has even confirmed it's 'chants'.. as if it needed confirmation. 'Chance' doesn't make any sense.

agreed... it is confirmed many times in the series as they always show one of the lodge inhabitants chant out FIRE... WALK.. WITH ME which opens a portal of fire and the way into the black lodge are revealed. this happens both in the convenience store scene in FWMM and the last episode where MFAP finally says Fire Walk With Me after Cooper spilled the scorched engine oil smelling substance from the coffe cup and there's a great blast of fire before things take a nasty turn.
