Nevins revealed he and the top Showtime executives have now seen all of the new Twin Peaks, adding, "David's been great about sharing with us," and laughing that yes, Lynch served coffee and donuts at each screening.

Said Lynch, "David Lynch is one of the great film masters of my lifetime. I think the version of Twin Peaks you're going to see is the pure heroin version of Twin Peaks and I'm very excited to be putting that out."

Said Showtime's Gary Levine, "It's hard to fathom what Twin Peaks in a social media world will be and we're really looking forward to the ride."

Nevins described Twin Peaks as "the original social media show, it was the original discussion show, before any of the tools of social media and fan engagement really existed. That's why David's so particular about secrecy. It will really reward close watching."

Immediately following the #TwinPeaks premiere, the 3rd & 4th hours will be available on @Showtime Streaming, On Demand and #ShowtimeAnytime.

They responded to someone asking if the first and second episodes will also be streaming, the answer is yes.

Great! A story with a beginning, middle and end is all I ask for. And 18 hours is basically two seasons anyway.

This better be good.
Well, they did mention pure heroin David Lynch...

You might get a middle, end and then beginning...
Or a circle for that matter...
Heh, good point. I'm all up for middle, beginning, inverted middle, mirror beginning, ending... Wherever the junk takes me!

We're sure to get some excitement, even if we don't get a trailer.

But I really really really want a trailer.

They are referring to it as an "18 hour series". So, if you consider the premiere one episode, it's really 17 "episodes" total?

Since they have already made the release date public, I'd be surprised if there isn't some footage during the 45-minute panel. Whether it's a trailer or a brief look at a scene, we'll soon find out.

That is correct! I would be shocked if the finale wasn't hours 17-18 together

I'm guessing the first two hours alone would give us enough material to discuss for months. I think we'll survive a few weeks with four hours of NEW TWIN PEAKS to talk about.

I've happily accepted my defeat and don't regret trying to give power to that date. Now please excuse me while I work on my Evelyn Marsh avatars.
