Re: New Merchandise Roundup (Officially Licensed)
Have to say I think Showtime are pretty big cheapskates... I signed up to get their 10% off my first order then bought two items, thinking I'd get the free shipping only to find out that it didn't apply if I used the 10% off as well.. Kind of a slimy move if you ask me.
The milk will get cool on you pretty soon.

Heh. And yet, the Showtime version is actually completely different from the twice-screen-used piece of eardrobe. :-/Esselgee wrote:They probably both shop of Horne's Department Store.kitty666cats wrote: How did Annie get Donna's cardigan?

They are amazing. I saw a sign at the after party that said the design is exclusive to that event. There is a also a wooden coaster with that logo laser burned into it. Also a bar napkin.

Interesting - I was hoping they would make an official ring.Jerry Horne wrote:Owl Cave Ring. Finally.

This does look a little more expensive than the fan made ring on Etsy. And it is only gold plated as well. On the other hand it has a stone rather than resin which may be nice. But the black part does not seem as defined as I recall it in the film? Is that just me?
What do people think, the official ring or the etsy ring? Or would it be better to save up and order a custom ring from some jeweler?
I am rather wary of it being gold plated, as I can be rough on things and I expect I'd wear it quite often. Does anyone here have much experience with plated jewelry? Does it hold up?

Re: New Merchandise Roundup (Officially Licensed)
The ring's design in the show and movie looks a lil more "defined" because of a weathering aged effect. They could reproduce that same effect but I feel they did not so as not to invoke the camp it'd confuse who expect, well, clean jewelry!Leacock wrote:Interesting - I was hoping they would make an official ring.Jerry Horne wrote:Owl Cave Ring.
