I don't see any posts about this auction, which has now ended: https://www.charitybuzz.com/catalog_ite ... -on-970910. Does anyone know what it eventually sold for? It had been estimated at $5000, but the last time I had look, which was I think with 15 days to go, it was up to $10,500!
In my opinion, if you read the restrictions on this auction, this bid is COMPLETELY ridiculous! The only thing you are REALLY bidding on is the CHANCE to be seen in an episode of Twin Peaks, but that isn't even guaranteed! Is it worth the GAMBLE? Opinions?

$12,500. http://welcometotwinpeaks.com/news/visi ... -an-extra/
I'd say that depends on how much $$ you have compared to your level of love for the show. Sadly, for most of us, it is not worth the gamble.

$12,500 is certainly a crazy amount that most of us couldn't afford anyhow. That person must certainly love the show.
This is - excuse me - a damn fine cup of coffee.
Re: Charitybuzz Twin Peaks/David Lynch auction
I mean, even with an EXTREME love for the show and splitting the cost between two people, I just CAN'T see that price being worth it, with the EXTREME restrictions that are placed on the auction. Unless the person thinks that because they bid SO high, special accommodations will be made for them, but there again, it seems like an extreme gamble.

Charitable contributions are good for your taxes. My guess is the winner owns a business and could use the deductions, so it'd be win-win. We'll find out eventually.
