So if I remember the story correctly, there was a scene filmed in Season 1 where James Hurley confronts his troubled mother. They cut the scene, but re-shot another version of it during Season 2 (with the same actress, I believe) and then cut it again. So viewers never actually got to meet James' mom.

Has it ever been revealed which actress played his mother? So many of the TP guest stars were well-known from other projects, so I'm curious if she was played by someone we'd recognize.

Did they re-shoot it? I thought they were just going to use the same scene. And the dialogue about the scene actually stayed in the episode.

I think I might have the name on some production paperwork. I'll check.

I also have a full binder of paperwork that lists Social Security numbers and weekly wages of the cast! Oh naughty!

You may be right. I haven't read those scripts in a while, but I seem to recall it was episode 5 and 10, and although the scene was basically the same in the Season 2 script, it had been re-written and had some different stuff. So I figured they would have reshot it completely.

Lesli Linka Glatter directed both of those episodes. SHE would be a great interview to get. Overall, she's my favorite Twin Peaks director after Lynch. Love, love, love her episodes!

You heard right! Shocking really.

The lady who played Colleen Hurley was Linda Carlson. Find her and interview her Brad! Ask her if she's got a video copy of her scene. It's most likely the only surviving element. Also, would be interesting if she had any photos of her on the set / in character.

"NOTE: Scene was edited out of episode #004 last season and will now be shown in 2.003..."

Linda Carlson (BA 1967) is a successful actor in films (Honey, I Blew Up the Kids, The Beverly Hillbillies), television (Twin Peaks, Murder One), and on the Broadway stage (Otto Preminger's Full Circle).

Can someone post a pic of Linda Carlson? I've seen some of the stuff she did, but I don't know who she is...
