What is Dougie-Coop's ultimate fate?
When all is said and done, what will be Dougie-Coop's season ending fate?

Other. Reemerges as Cooper. Reemerges as Dougie.

Other.
As a matter of fact, 'Chalfont' was the name of the people that rented this space before. Two Chalfonts. Weird, huh?

I think the original Cooper will get back on the case and won't remain with Janey-E, but he'll recall all that he did. Somehow the original Dougie will be brought back with a "new and improved" attitude (in a scene reminiscent of the end of Inland), perhaps with a talking-to from Dale about how he should value his family more and quit the gambling and whoring.
I DON'T FEEL GOOD!!!!!

Well, Dopplecoop retains some of regular coop's memories from before the switch unlike Dougie Jones who presumably didn't when married Janey-E.
Before Season 3 I just assumed Cooper left the lodge at end of S2 just perhaps with an emptiness inside getting caught by his shadow self in the lodge. This emptiness allowed Bob to possess him similar to Leland (be working with Bob instead unaware or suppressing like Leland did though). Season 3 of course seemingly tossed this notion making Dopplecoop an entirely different individual entirely (a tulpa?) but perhaps dopplecoop will still re-fuse with the part of himself that was lost after exiting the black lodge in season 2 hence a whole cooper again?
