Coop stepping out of the shadows was in the 3rd episode.
Which teaser had Cole stepping out of the van?

Are you so sure about this? Can anyone provide a timestamp for the exact moment in part 3? I haven't carefully checked, but for one thing, the footage doesn't look mauve (although it could be pre-color-grading). I noticed something else, and I'm not sure that it's been mentioned. At the beginning of one of the parts on Showtime Anytime (and perhaps the live aired version as well) there's a little intro advertising Showtime originals. In that advertisement we see the shot of Cooper stepping out of the shadows, but in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment, he steps out of the shadows and then his face is lit by a flash that pretty much looks like the flash of a strobe light (which we didn't see in the original promo). Here's a screenshot (note the presence of the lapel pin):

If anyone wants to check, I'm pretty sure this was shown just before part 7.

You are correct. It's also not the same shot. So, we are still waiting. I think we'll get those shots when Copper is back in the lodge, based on the scenes we have yet to witness.

I haven't seen him getting out of a van, but I have seen trailer footage that doesn't seem to be listed here. It's in the trailer titled Phenomenon Part 3, after Belushi and Knepper, at 4.22. David is sitting in a 4wd with the lights flashing, wearing a trenchcoat. I think Kyle might be beside him (presumably driving the 4WD) and there is a male, who I cant work out, sitting behind him. The footage shown was being taken as they were filming, so not actual direct footage.

Just my intuition, but the one in the car looks like EvilCoop while the one turning his head looks like GoodCoop.

It's the expressions. The one with him turning his head has a softness to it. He has a softer expression. Also, you can clearly see his eyes have a lighter iris around the pupil. Doppelcoop's black contact lenses look like the same sort they gave Marina Sirtis in Star Trek, entirely black. Inhuman, like a shark's. He's not wearing the contacts in the one with the light flashing over his face either.

But in the car... He's got the same harsh frown Doppelcoop has and you really can't tell if he has contacts or not.

Ooh I have a feeling DoppleCoop is gonna dress up in the suit and cut his hair, then the two Coops will look identical again. But he'll still be super tan which will be a giveaway!

haha. Pretty hard to tell really when it is the same guy :P But I would err on the side of it being Coop. I always thought that footage in the car, with the headlights, was taken during a certain night of filming.

DoppelCoop disguising himself as Coop would be, in my opinion, a disappointing turn of events -- and given the doppelgänger's supernatural credentials, possibly be entirely unnecessary to achieve his goals. Let's leave disguises and such literal ploys to the likes of wily human maniacs like Windom Earle. DoppelCoop surely has other ways to persuade people to fall in line with his will -- more preternatural 'resources' for convincing people -- even if they sometimes fail (a la Ray), which suit his 'bad mofo' character better.
