When I heard the original commentary track for that movie I just about died.

I have seen both versions and prefer the Director's Cut more than the Theatrical Version. My only annoyance with the DC is the passages from The Philosophy of Time Travel because I feel it explains too much and doesn't leave much for interpretation.
Overall though, both films are great and I recommend them!

Roger - I 100% agree with you, if you're refering to the Director's Cut Commentary. Appalling. It made me feel sick, it was so embarrassingly awful! I hope you haven't suffered his next film "Southland Tales"? *vomits* It makes me think somebody else directed Donnie Darko, then credited it to Kelly as a gift?
