A google image search of Muscoy, CA shows a place that looks like familiar territory. If you click the marker, a 360 degree street view comes up; that's what really looks like a neighborhood we've seen before. Maybe not really but close enough. Note the blue van in the driveway; maybe the pool man from MD lives out there these days.

funny you should mention gene the pool man, the line he says after adam finds his wife and gene in bed, then the altercation ensues, and gene cleans the floor with adam, saying
"That aint no way to treat your wife, buddy, i dont care what shes done" does have an odd resonance to IE.
