I also love all of these three cds nearly equally but if I had to pick just one I'd vote for the soundtrack of the first season.

FWWM is one of the greatest soundtracks ever. To me it is the zenith of Lynch/Badalamenti music. It is so good that to me it isn't a soundtrack but just superb album. Of course the original TP soundtrack has special place in my heart and it has truly great song's like Laura Palmer's theme and original theme but FWWM is where that form reached it's peak. It is much more organic and it actually sounds like Miles Davis's Kind of Blue in places (and that is an achievement!). It is more real but still has that unique twist of synth strings and atmospherics, so it isn't completely retro. I love every minute of it. That muted trumpet just gets me. And Sycamore trees, damn.

I wish Agent Chester Desmond would appear.

The first one has the signature themes on it. It's just gotta take first place for me.

Definitely FWWM for me. I think it's one of the finest soundtrack albums ever put together, and it doesn't even feature some of the best music from the movie. The Twin Peaks Archive more than anything confirmed that FWWM was were the Badalamenti/Lynch collaboration peaked.

I'm particularly fond of all those weird bass improvisation pieces like Mysterioso, The Black Dog Runs at Night, etc.
