Changes made to The Grandmother

Did anyone notice two things were changed in The Grandmother for the Criterion edition?
In the scene where the boy is on the bed and the grandmother is in the chair, instead of fading to black on the grandmother, it cuts to black, then we hear the singing voice. Also, at the end, the animation is different.
