Just saw this.
Have not heard the new album.
He and I were going to split each other off the unfinished BlueBOB 2nd album and finish them our own ways with our own lyrics and singers, and co-release.
I never did, but now I'll have to listen to the new album and see if he did.

I like the article's description of "and played in the rock band BlueBOB".
Really?
He and I WERE BlueBOB.
But if the author thinks it was a whole band, I am mightily pleased!

The 'Smokestack' era reference is also a BlueBOB reference, from a press description Dave gave to an interviewer back then.

And I forget what the author said the new album's Blues description was, but a French reviewer in 2002 magically and aptly described BlueBOB as "Industrial Blues".

The quote about never playing live on stage again is accurate.
The day after the Paris concert, a reporter asked Dave what he thought of playing live.
He said, "The Terror Meter went down a little bit with each note, until it hit bottom when we had finished".
The Rolling Stones offered us the opening slot on their 2003 European Tour and Dave turned it down.
Billy Gibbons loved the record and was considering us for opening the ZZ Top Summer Tour.
No deal. Ah, well...

Finally, the author calls the interview as taking place at Dave's house.
Nope.
That's the studio building, former the Madison House from LH.
OK, there will be a test!

Wow...opening for the Stones or ZZ Top...! I really wish he had said yes! That would have been incredible, either one of those things.....sorry it didn't happen, John. I'd love to hear more of BB one day, and I don't think I'm alone in that.
