I think someone on here confirmed that was not shot. I don't know if I've ever seen a picture from it, but I could be mistaken...

Re: Simultaneous Tweets from David Lynch & Mark Frost

I remember back at least two years ago, on some television gossip blog (not the 4chan rumor), there was a blurb from a "reliable source" about Mark Frost and David Lynch wanting to resurrect Twin Peaks, and the story being set in an alternate timeline where Laura Palmer was never murdered....

Re: Twin Peaks on Blu-Ray Official Discussion Thread - Spoil

Yes- the colors on that particular ad look better on the DVD. I was pretty surprised to see that those ads were filmed in widescreen, as I didn't know they did that back then (obviously they were still "composing" for the standard screen). It makes me wonder if the series was shot that wa...

Re: Twin Peaks on Blu-Ray Official Discussion Thread - Spoil

Another interesting thing: The Christmas ad, Wizard Of Oz ad, and the Message to the troops are presented in, and must have been filmed in, widescreen. They are not cropped. If you compare then to the ones on the Gold Box, there is the same amount of info top to bottom, with much more info at the s...

Re: Bob Engels Interview Pt. 2: Story Behind Phillip Jeffrie

Enjoyed reading this, especially the observations about the TV business. Surprised to hear him say no more films were planned - I thought I'd heard him specifically say otherwise in other interviews! And Lynch's 3 pic deal with Ciby (which they pulled out of after FWWM bombed), was said to "pr...

Very interesting interview. I would love to read that early draft of FWWM. I know it's been circulated in a few small circles of TP fans. I wonder if anyone on here has ever read it...

Re: Twin Peaks on Blu-Ray Official Discussion Thread - Spoil

One minor thing I'm glad they restored was the little cymbal music cue after Chet disappears/establishing FBI, Cooper's introduction. I was used to watching the international version of FWWM that it was jarring when I finally watched the New Line version and it was just complete silence for those fe...

Re: A Rough Guide to making your own FWWM Extended Cut

Going over the script for FWWM, it's interesting to see that originally the Philip Jeffries scenes took place after the movie jumped ahead one year as opposed to the same time Desmond disappeared. It also would negate the continuity error of Jeffries saying it's 1989. I'm pretty sure it was decided...

Re: Twin Peaks on Blu-Ray DVD Official Discussion Thread

Eh, I'm going to try to avoid any spoilers the best I can even if it means not checking this website until after the set has come out. I don't know, maybe I'm old fashioned but it seems like a much more enjoyable experience to actually watch the complete deleted scenes unfold for the first time with...

Re: Rough/Blurry Footage and Differences (TV x DVD)

Is it just me, or does the scene in the pilot of Cooper interrogating Donna look somewhat grainy? I was watching it on Netflix and noticed it, and then checked the Gold Box version and it still seemed quite grainy. It's hard to notice it just by the picture; you really have to be watching the scene ...

Re: Twin Peaks on Blu-Ray DVD Official Discussion Thread

I'm hoping that deleted scenes from the series will be the big surprise on this set. Of course all the promotion is focusing on the 90 minutes from FWWM which will undoubtably be amazing, but I'm holding out hope that they uncovered some real gems from the series.

Other Coffee Commercial(s)?

I was watching the second USC retrospective with Dana Ashbrook and Madchen Amick and at some point, they brought up the German waitress/'seconds on knockwurst' scenes in the pilot and last episode, and Dana said they recreated that scene for a coffee commercial in Japan that was directed by David. N...
