Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)

I haven't been watching this thread too closely. Did anyone end up timing the Twin Peaks segments? I get irrationally satisfied by statistics, so, I'd love to see that full list (if once again there was more Peaks).

Re: General Discussion on the New Series (All Opinions Welcome) (SPOILERS)

even if the show turns out to be an artistic failure overall (as is looking likely) Uh, what? Not even being a Twin Peaks fanboy, but, the reviews have been pretty overwhelmingly positive. I think the commercial success is currently up for debate however (and we probably won't really know how Showt...

Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)

Yeah, right - one of the main guys of this universe changes the name of a character that went under another name before our very eyes and ears, and I'm the sloppy one (I think we can now safely drop the "alternative timeline" theory that some here have clinged on to when confronted with m...

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread

Ratings have ticked up again this week. If the show continues to grow I think that will be appealing to Showtime. Yeah, that's a good sign. Still not great ratings though, by any metric. But, who knows what their streaming numbers are like. For those not keeping track, these are just live ratings: ...

Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)

Yes,this could be true. After all, Leland has managed to conceal his Bob identity for decades. Though there were clues, that both his wife and daughter picked up on, realizing that something was wrong with him, before he went on a killing spree. I think that Diane would've been quicker to identify ...

Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)

Seems like pretty sloppy attitude to me, if that's the case. Would like the writers/showrunners to show a little more respect for the series' narrative history (and the old viewers)... New viewers can always look it up, it's not like the original material is unavailable at this point. And if anyone...

Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)

I remember Arbogast saying Warren Frost was on the cast list for a specific reason, to fulfill a certain narrative purpose, and I think from last night it is obvious to substitute what would have been Ontkean dialogue on Cooper's behavior after he emerged from the Lodge. Yeah, that would make sense...

I can't take credit for this but this is before and after still photos of when the guy came in asking for either Bing or Billy... Done to show passing of time? or is it something else... https://i.imgur.com/C2H912h.png Eh. As someone who's edited before, it's more than likely just that the editors ...

Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)

I still think a Harry Truman cameo is also even slightly possible. Maybe Harry has been in the shadows searching for Coop all these years... Sounds more like he's in a cancer ward. As someone who's a huge Harry fan, and been consistently hoping he'd have a cameo despite his name not being on the ca...

Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)

I wouldn't overthink the continuity of the diary pages. It all sort of falls apart if you think too hard about the diaries in Season 1/2/FWWM (last week, I sat down and made a post about the timeline of the pages, and it doesn't work, as Leland both rips the pages out before the dream, Laura makes a...

Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)

Re, the rape theory: Even if DoppelCoop cleaned up after himself well enough that the doctors/nurses/orderlies who were regularly tending to a comatose patient would be oblivious to the fact that she was raped, once the pregnancy became obvious, wouldn't Will come forward about the fact that he saw...

Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)

Curious what the minute count is for time spent in Twin Peaks this episode. Felt like a fair bit (even disregarding the Roadhouse + end credits shot).

Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)

Great episode. Also, great seeing Hayward. Also, did Doppelcoop go around sexually assaulting all the women he knew? Kind of seems like it, given the ominous remarks about Audrey. Great forward momentum in the episode. Scene with Renault felt like Lynch fucking with us, or cutting to meet a runtime ...

Re: General Discussion on the New Series (All Opinions Welcome)

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, but is the season 18 hours or 18 episodes? I'd figured it was 18 episodes of one hour each, but the individual episodes are a little under an hour, meaning 18 episodes would clock in somewhere around 17 hours. I also read that the final episodes is 2 ho...
