Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017
There's no way I'm staying up until 3am - I'd fall asleep! I'll be watching on Monday and just avoiding all spoiler for the day. However, I'm going to be away on holiday for the next two weeks. That's another three episodes. Part of me (just a part) is tempted to hold back on the full five and watch...

Re: Northwest Passage Sought
I found it though a torrent site - forget which one though. Didn't take long to find, and I let it download overnight (was big - like 5gb or more). IN the end I don't think it was worth the watch, though I understand the curiosity (I was the same haha).

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017
It's finally showing up on my Sky TV Guide (UK) for next week. AAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGG.
Haha, I can't believe it's almost here. It's totally surreal!
"Is this real Ben?....Or just some strange and twisted dream?"

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread
I just wish Lynch doesn't overdo it with his esoteric (for lack of a better term) sensibilities. I want Dale Cooper, not Maharishi Mahesh Yogi... Also, I'm more a fan of Blue Velvet and Wild at Heart than of Mulholland Drive (haven't yet seen Lost Highway and Inland Empire, nor am I much eager to s...

Re: How would you rank David Lynch's films?
FWWM Lost Highway Mulholland Drive FWWM Q2 edit (is this allowed??) The Straight Story Blue Velvet Wild at Heart Eraserhead Inland Empire (I need to rewatch this I admit) Yet to see Dune or the Elephant Man. I do have a fan edit of Dune with deleted scenes squeezed in. I don't think i own Elephant M...

Re: Beyond Season 3?
Part of me just wants it to end after the new series - surely after 18 hours there'll be some kid of resolution (even if it is the open-ended David Lynch kind). Then i'll have the three series, the film, the books and the music to keep me entertained for the rest of my days. I'd be happy with that. ...

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread
Just rewatched Lost Highway. Man, I love that film. Two take-aways: First, Peter Deming's work on the film is PHE-nomenal. I can't wait to see what he does on the new Peaks. Second, of all Lynch's films I have the feeling LH will be closest in style to Peaks season 3. I love LH, ever since seeing i...

Re: Twin Peaks fan = horror fan?
Love horror. All the classics have been mentioned, but there have been some really good ones over the last few years - It Follows, the Babadook, Paranormal Activity, Insidious, The Conjuring.

Re: True Detective
I REALLY enjoyed the first series and have since re-watched it. I very much enjoyed the second series - although I watched it much later and my hopes were very low, maybe it was better than what I was expecting? The second series also improved a lot as it went along. I thought Farrell and McAdams we...

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread
I'm in the UK, i'll wait until the Tuesday night. I've waited this long, I can wait another day. I love this quote from DL: “In the beginning, many years ago, Mark and I – as if lost in the wilderness – as it always is in the beginning, we seemed to find some mountain and we began the climb. And whe...

Exciting times! I'm in the UK, I'm guessing i'll have to wait up very late or just see what's what tomorrow morning. Either, 2017 is off to a pleasant start!

Re: Twin Peaks: The Missing Pieces - analysis/thoughts etc
I finally got around to watching the Q2 fan edit of FWWM and...thought it was amazing. I know I know - it's not Lynch's vision. FWWM is one of my favourite films of all time and I agree that an artist's work shouldn't be tampered with. But saying all that I loved it. 3.5 hours of FWWM? Yes please! A...

Re: Music From The New Series
Angelo said he knew about the revival five (?) years ago, so he was one of the first people Lynch told, and I'm guessing there was a reason for that. He's probably been working on the music all along. Lynch likes to have the score done before he even starts shooting his films typically, right? I re...
