Betty Williams - Odessa

Has anybody ever come across this story before? A friend sent me it. A true story about a high school girl from Odessa (yes - that Odessa) who suffers a tragic death at a young age. Police uncover a story about a mildly popular girl, but behind the exterior is a very unhappy young woman who has some...

Re: The Random Season 3 Thread (SPOILERS)

It’s pretty normal I think. I go in phases, depending on what else is going on in my life. I keep thinking about TP, don’t get me wrong. I am often reminded of it by my coffee mugs, or by my Cooper Pop figure, or by a random TP song on Apple Music but I can’t just watch, re-watch, and theorize 24 h...

Re: The Random Season 3 Thread (SPOILERS)

This is my first post on here in a while - probably since I finished the Return last year. In fact, I haven't consumed anything TP -related since i finished The Return. Let me say first up that I LOVED The Return - probably even more than the original series, and close to how much I love FWWM/Missin...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Satisfied Support Group (SPOILERS)

Well, this is the group for me :) Bit late to the party, but very satisfied with The Return. I haven't looked in the Profoundly Disappointed thread. It's sad that people who were so looking forward to it have ended up like that. But hey. Fix your hearts or die! I'm as much a fan of Lynch as I am TP....

Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)

Finally watched the last two episodes. I delayed my TP viewing as I was away etc. Anyway....bloody amazing! The whole thing (expect for maybe a little dip in the middle) was dazzling television. As for the last act - I'm not going to say I understood it, or that I would have liked more resolution, b...

Re: Happy 20th Anniversary to Lost Highway!!

Hey I love your theories! LH is my favourite Lynch film and since it's the only one of his I've seen at the cinema it's the one that had the biggest impact on me. I must have listened to the soundtrack a million times since it came out!! You're probably right about the Mystery Man being part of Fred...

Re: Part 10 - Laura is the one (SPOILERS)

Thought this was an excellent episode. I'm really enjoying the series, as much as I could have hoped for. I actually feel very sorry for the group of people who aren't enjoying it (for whatever reason). I've loved twin peaks ever since it first appeared on TV (I was ten!) - love the film, have the s...

dontlooknow wrote:the only problem of twin peaks is (and always has been) that it's not funny.
its attempts at humour rarely go well.

apart from that it is amazing TV in every aspect
For you, you mean. I like it's humour. I think this series has been quite funny! Funnier than the original, too.

Re: ROLLING POLL! Your ongoing reaction to the first half of The Return, parts 1-9 (SPOILERS)

This is the best television I've ever seen. I absolutely love it. It's more than what I could have hoped for (so far). There MIGHT have been a sight dip in episodes 4 and 5. But gee golly gosh - 1-3 and 6-8 were majestic. Is it just me or is anyone else finding themselves JUST wanting to watch TP? A...

The new series is making original Twin Peaks look positively quaint. It's television Jim, but not as we know it.

Re: Parts 1 & 2 - My log has a message for you & The stars turn and a time presents itself (SPOILERS)

At the end of Part 2 in the bar, Shelley's friend is called Renee (as in Renee like in Lost Highway) and then Balthazar Getty (as in Lost Highway) makes an appearance. Is it just coincidence?

Re: How many times have you rewatched? (SPOILERS)

I can't really remember. I think I've seen the first 2 three times. 3+4 twice, and 5 once. The first viewing I was so excited I couldn't actually process anything. I made the mistake of checking the forum to see what the buzz was before watching episode 2 for the first time, and the negativity made...

Re: Parts 1 & 2 - My log has a message for you & The stars turn and a time presents itself (SPOILERS)

Wow! I've finally got round to watching this (I've been away on holiday so didn't want a big interruption). I thought episodes 1 and 2 were amazing, totally amazing television. I was gripped from start to finish. I'm as much a Lynch fan as I am a TP fan so for me it was perfect - the Lodge, the glas...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

It'll be interesting if Sky Ferreira has a real role. I like her music, but her brief acting performance in The Green Inferno was painful. Still, I have faith in Lynch with everyone. Yeah I like her (first?) album. Regarding the acting ability - have you not seen Twin Peaks before? Some of the acti...
