Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

As yet another diverging opinion, I was surprised by how little 'regular Coop' we got... ...and I hate pt16 Coop. I appreciate his role in the story if I frame him in a certain specific way, which I find very easy with the way the story continues, but I've found nothing in interviews to support my ...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

I refuse to believe that anyone who is a fan of original Twin Peaks wasn't disappointed that out of 18 hours we got 15 minutes of Cooper being Cooper. There is no way that didn't let you down. Yes, absolutely that was a letdown, especially considering that when he comes back, he mostly interacts wi...

Re: Kyle MacLachlan sounding far less optimistic about more Twin Peaks

Seconding BGate. I wish someone would ask Dern and see what her reading of the situation is. As for what it would be about, I don't think they set out with the intent to turn anything inside out in s3, I think they simply told the story they wanted to tell. And they'd still tell the story they want ...

IT.PNG DE.PNG FR.PNG I'm starting to suspect this worldwide release is an elaborate joke. Look at the dubs and subs. Release dates aren't consistent either it's (annoyed handwave) something something late March. ES.PNG ...BUT WAIT, Spain got it even worse! On one hand, they don't even show the righ...

Re: Season 3 Photoshoots and PR Images (SPOLIERS)

I have so many questions about these. Chiefly among them, 1) why release character so deeply connected to b/w scenes in color, and 2) who picked the girls' poses :?

That'd be my preferred option, I would really like to see them work together on something new! Lynch also expressed an interest toward podcasts, I'd love that too.

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

That's all conjecture. We don't know whether the intent was to drop plotlines and have one-dimensional characters or if it was purely bad and lazy storytelling. It just depends on how much you want to believe Lynch can do no wrong and how much you're willing to bend theories to justify it. Personal...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31 (SPOILERS)

I don't think this was included in the book, at least not in the digital copy. https://twitter.com/TwinPeaksArchve/status/860905522559500288 It's a flyer/card that appeared to be for a memorial at the Roadhouse in 1994, to mark the 5th anniversary of Laura's passing (disappearance? ). I gue...

Re: should "Windswept" have been utilized more in The Return?

Yes! Both the titular track and others like Insomnia, as you point out. But I wouldn't know where they would fit...

I wonder why Lynch went for an instrumental version of Saturday for Chromatics' second Roadhouse appearance? Did the lyrics not fit?

Re: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Blu-ray 12/5/17

Has there been any word whatsoever on the languages of the eventual European release? Which dubs in any given territory, which subtitles? Many thanks in advance to anyone who might help out here. Local Amazon stores are confused, the lot of them. :? And sorry if this has been discussed already, I st...

Re: What Other Directors/Actors Think of Season 3

The whole tlj discourse is interesting, and to me it further proves that "subverting expectations", per se, is little more than an empty buzzword. Fandom talk is indeed very similar to TPTR fandom talk, yet I find myself on the opposite side of the fence. I don't see how TPS3 rather obvio...

And on whether it was set in 1989 or 1990! Nothing new under the sun really, except this time I suspect it's intentional and I love it.

Re: Do we know when Carl's Fat Trout Trailer Park was established in/near Twin Peaks?

Twin Peaks' own location changes at least twice throughout TSHOTP alone. I maintain that Mfrost's approach to canon continuity is "cat staring right at you as it slowly & deliberately pushes grandma's precious vase off the shelf"
