Well this allows Paramount to bring out, in the future, 'The Complete Definitive Gold Edition' and then later 'The Ultimate Complete Definitive Gold Edition', etc, etc. :? Pardon my sarcasm but it always seems that business strategy is to get the most money for the least amount of output. How about t...

I'm with you on this Annie, I only hope that it's not another rights issue debacle that will take years to sort out. Can that be possible :?: What would be good is if they would release a 3 disc set 1. The feature(dvd) 2. The extras(dvd) 3. The soundtrack (cd) I have a set like this for the original...

That looks like a good book, suitable for a layman like myself it says. Quite a few directors in this book have their say which is interesting and as I have just started viewing Lars Von Trier's Riget I see he's in there.

The region 2 sets seem to have the first part missing the log lady intros, or at least some of them do. The US region 1 set have them on all episodes. Thats as far as I have worked out. There maybe other reasons, as these releases seem to be playing games with the buying public. There maybe a load o...

I have the UK edition (from the triple bill box set) and the R1 Eraserhead 2000 DVD and there's no comparison. Eraserhead 2000 looks and sounds beautiful and the 'Stories' feauture is manna from heaven. The framing in the two editions is different but Eraserhead 2000 was Lynch supervised and is how...

Re: soundtrack

Given the utter lack of info about the soundtrack anywhere online, can any of you clarify what John said (I respect the fact a rant was removed, though...) ?? The prospect of not having a full version of "Ghost of Love" to listen to regularly at high volume is causing me severe distress a...

I found it on the web, it's an Isotta Fraschini Town Car Landolet Limousine with leopard skin seats. Not that I'm into cars, but this one, well... stands out from the rest a bit.

....and the actual old Italian Limousine from "SB" was hired out of an auto museum in Las Vegas and brought to Paramount, and was placed in the same spot outside the offices area of the studio as it was in "SB". You only see it for an instant. Look for it. A major part of the mo...

Will do John, and thanks.

DarkGlobe, you've got me wondering now, why were the two sisters in 'Don't Look Now' laughing? Hmmm. I'm going to have to see that film again.

The shot of the grandparents(?) laughing in the back of the taxi from MD reminds me of a similar shot of the 2 sisters laughing from Dont Look Now (Nicolas Roeg 1973). Theres a very similar creepy feeling in that we don't know (but maybe suspect) that they might be laughing AT the protagonists. A l...

Cheers Theo, I think I will have to trawl through ebay for a load of noir films, purely for research of course. :D Great!
