So, I watched Dune yesterday. Note that I have not read the book... I can definitely see where he could have taken it to great places (or at least better places) with a longer running time and creative freedom. Not without getting rid of those horrible voice overs and rewriting a lot of the dialogu...

So, I watched Dune yesterday. Note that I have not read the book... I can definitely see where he could have taken it to great places (or at least better places) with a longer running time and creative freedom. Not without getting rid of those horrible voice overs and rewriting a lot of the dialogue.

If you're using a DVD player, there doesn't seem to be a way to get to the rabbit symbol (I tried every direction with every option selected). But you can still get to the scene. I agree you probably won't return to it often. The other day I called the documentary depressing and a bit voyeuristic. I didn't mean to be disrespectful, but after seeing the film I didn't feel I got to know Mr Nance any better. I just found out about all the trouble in his life and it made me sad....
