Re: Link between Eraserhead and FWWM

Lost Highway should be in this tri... tetralogy.
The man with the camera beeing a kind of BOB's cousin.

Elephant Man should not be set aside.
Look at the end of the movie and then look at the end of FWWM.
You'll see what I mean.

Re: Mark Frost and Fire Walk With Me

Kyle could have been seduced by a film that solves the case and ends it once and for all... We know Kyle didn't like the idea of Coop beeing bad (don't remember where I've read that David Lynch had to lie in the script of FWWM so that Kyle didn't know Coop was giving a bad advice about the ring). I'...

Re: When I'm asked why I like TP

The show is not what it seems. It means a lot more than what you could guess at first glance. You can go as deep as you want in Twin Peaks. That's why I love it. Twin Peaks tells about us, about human nature as no other show does. I think people who likes the show but not as much as we do has just m...

The only one worth of interest. :)

I always ask people "who killed Laura ?" when they've seen the show for the first time.
It is always interesting to know what they think about it. :)

Re: Garmonbozia, the Ring, Leland's blood and the corn...

Is there anything in the series of FWWM that would point to Mike feeding on Laura? It would make sense, I just never made this connection. The ring of course ! I've been thinking about it since I've made this topic (I assume writting all this has helped me to clear my mind...) Let's say BOB and MIK...

Garmonbozia, the Ring, Leland's blood and the corn...

Sorry if those seem dumb questions by I have to ask them as I don't find the key by myself and that I can't find satisfying answers from the web. So... What is this all about ? Let's take a look at what I *think* is the truth. 1) We know that MIKE tries to help Laura to fight BOB by giving her the R...

Re: Blood on Leo's shirt and FWWM : just a mistake ?

Agreed even if one can think that the body is not discovered yet. Unlikely but not totaly impossible. Or maybe someone else has discovered the body and has taken care of it. Anyway... I can deal with this one. Blood is a bigger problem to me. Inconsistencies don't make the movie (or the show) "...

Re: Blood on Leo's shirt and FWWM : just a mistake ?

Maybe Jaques wore Leo's shirt... No. Not seen in the film, and way too small for Jacques ! Or maybe when he woke up he used Leo's shirt to clean the blood and then Leo came back to take his shirt! No. Leo runs away (with his shirt on) when he sees Jacques body's lying on the floor and never ...

Blood on Leo's shirt and FWWM : just a mistake ?

Or have I missed something ? I'm watching (again) the show. At the end of season 1, Jacques explains what happened to him in the woods. He says that Leo's beat (for fun) and Coop thinks that's why there's some of his blood on Leo's shirt. The movie, however, tells us a different story. Jacques goes ...

Re: Blue Velvet - the original seed of Twin Peaks?

In fact, there are so many parallels between all the "dreamy" films of Lynch (it excepts Elephant Man, Dune and Straight Story of course) that it would be easier to search for the real differences between them rather than parallels. :) Although each one is unique and magic. And even for th...

Re: Twin Peaks in one sentence ?

The idea was to give a sentence to summarize the show (and movie) rather than a quote from TP.
A sentence to "explain" TP rather than one to tell "what it is".

Even if both of your quotes are quite cool. :)

Re: My opinion about Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me (1992)

I don't understant why people dont like it... Three reasons : - movie and shows are slow. People usually like it fast. - TP needs to think. Most people just want to sit and be enjoyed when they watch a movie or a TV show. - TP is disturbing. It asks a very disturbing question. "What would I ha...

Twin Peaks in one sentence ?

"How would you describe Twin Peaks in one sentence ?" That's the question I ask my friends when they see the show for the first time. I think it's interesting to know what they have understood of the show before they see the movie. So... What's your answer ? Here's mine (select to highligh...
