Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)
The only element that seems to be bothering people, geography-wise, is the electrical pole. The numbers on the pole are obviously meant to evoke FWWM and reinforce the connection to Carl--it doesn't matter where it is, geographically speaking. If it's supposed to be at that intersection where the h...

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)
In addition to the ladder-and-stair drawings, Coop circled or drew bullet-like doodles next to Dougie's name and Tony Sinclair's name (the Tom Sizemore character) on most of the forms where they appeared, perhaps emphasizing the activity each took on the various policies. I took Coop looking from &q...

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)
I dunno. Although the franchise has been pretty inconsistent with the locations of both towns at this point, I like to stick with the pilot's recitation as the "true" continuity. That's me, though. Remember, Leland's rendezvous with Teresa was originally in Red Diamond City, which is seemi...

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)
Sonny Jim has a stack of Hardy Boys books on his shelf, but the one that he's reading in the dark before Coop comes in has an evocative title: The Secret of the Old Mill!

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)
Again: Anyone know the name of the lady dispatcher at the Sheriff's Department who chided Chad re: Doris? (That was another subtly heartbreaking bit for me BTW - you could see Candy Clark's performance was irrational anguish there, not just nagging, and then the dispatcher confirmed it. I hope we g...

Re: Crazy Credits (Possible spoilers)
So, in my new weekly tradition, I will note that Sheryl Lee appears to be credited solely for her appearance in the main title (unlike the original, where she wasn't credited in episodes where she appeared only as the end credits image). Cue someone pointing out that a photo of Laura was glimpsed br...

Re: Diane
All in all, given that they revealed Diane, I'm glad she's Laura Dern. But I'm sort of disappointed that we know what she looks like. You'll never be able to watch the original series and wonder who Diane really is. Probably. I somewhat agree, but we all knew in our guts this was coming and hopeful...

Re: Diane
I have to rewatch, but was there any clue as to what city/state Max Von's (the bar where Albert finds Diane) is in? For a show that's used location chyrons over blatantly obvious establishing shots of NYC and Vegas, I'm surprised there wasn't one there.

Oh! One other very important note. Red shares Leland and Pete's passion for The King and I.

Re: Diane
There has been an IMO misguided movement to tie the "sheriff statue" into Coop's FBI Story poster from MLMT [EDIT: Saw the photos posted in the other thread showing Stewart in the film wearing the exact same attire...I recant my "misguided" pejorative and am now on board with thi...

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)
Haven't seen this referenced yet, but this felt like the most topical Part yet. Two references to the "fucking War" (presumably Iraq): Linda -- presumably a soldier -- being relegated to a wheelchair (reluctantly provided by the government), and Frank's kid killing himself ( Full Metal Jac...

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)
I'm glad we're the two lunatics who think each episode is better than the last, Snailhead. Please count me in that group as well , this episode was fantastic. Me as well. Well, two caveats: Part 3 might still be my favorite due to the pure Lynchian poetry of the opening sequence, the best thing in ...

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)
Looked very much to me like he was trying to hide his left arm, mirroring the real Dougie's arm shriveling up in the Red Room courtesy of the ring. Not sure what to make of that, tho'.asquideatingdough wrote:What do you think Cooper was trying to do with his sleeve in the opening scene? Take his jacket off?

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
My worst fear when The Return was announced was not that it would be a failure, it was that it would taint the original. That fear, at this point, has been realised. And I'm afraid that is going to be true whatever comes next and however good this ends up being in its own right. I just can't see my...

Re: Parts 1 & 2 - My log has a message for you & The stars turn and a time presents itself (SPOILERS)
Just randomly thought of something , and I'm sorry if this has been mentioned before. It's impossible to read through all of these pages though baha In the opening of part one , ?????? ( the giant ) says remember 430 .. and I've been noticing the number 7 show up a lot .. 4+3+0=7 ... any connection...
