Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread

David Lynch is a great director, people can agree on that. But this new show isn't going to be solely his work. You'll have to bring to task Mark Frost, all of the editors, Peter Deming, the actors, Badalamenti and so on if it isn't something you really like. Lynch is a DIRECTOR - this does not mean...

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread

In another thread here someone is writing that they've worked in the industry (tv?) for 26 years and they know that the new show of Twin Peaks will be coming out in October. Is this true? If this were the case, it would surely not help bring new viewers who might have seen the book come out in Octob...

Re: Trudy

With Lynch, in his films he generally offers open-ended conclusions rather than closed ones. At the end of season two, things came full circle but then we were given an ending which only begged questions. I can't see Lynch diverting from this approach immensely in the new season of Twin Peaks. Reali...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks

Has it occurred to anyone else that the first two hours of the new Series will actually wrap up most of the loose ends and plotlines from Season 2, and the rest of the series will just be all completely new stuff, more like the 'Adventures of Agent Cooper Worldwide' than 'Twin Peaks'? After seeing ...

All of this doesn't make complete sense, so it is implausible, right?

However, I love the above ideas about Windom Earle having manipulated things somehow from the Lodge. Is Earle not mentioned one time in the book?

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks

Don't know if it's been mentioned before but could the 1991 crime actually be the murder of Coops doppelgänger? Maybe by Annie? She could be being protected. Maybe the doppelgänger story will already have been resolved and the new series deals with the real cooper out of the lodge... Sent from my i...

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/18

I got this yesterday and admit I'm only part way through. I've skimmed through this thread and there seems to be universal acclaim for this book from what I've read but apologies if that isn't the case. Does anybody else NOT like this book? For me the whole beauty and magic of Twin Peaks was how se...
