I enjoy Dumbland very much, but they're pretty crude, and probably not all that essential. I disagree with you a little Let's Rock. I know you said you enjoyed it, but I personally find Dumbland to be way above most (if not all) of David's other Internet-based work, and is in my view "essentia...

I have the UK edition (from the triple bill box set) and the R1 Eraserhead 2000 DVD and there's no comparison. Eraserhead 2000 looks and sounds beautiful and the 'Stories' feauture is manna from heaven. The framing in the two editions is different but Eraserhead 2000 was Lynch supervised and is how...

Re: New Lynch CD (interviews)

Does anyone own this CD sold at the "Air is on fire" exhibition? I was wondering if it was worth buying. Yes, and yes ! :-) As I said in another thread: Today I found the time to read / view the whole book, accompanied by David's informative & entertaining commentary on the 2 x CDs......

Thanks for the support Red Room. At least some of us are open minded enough to trust the show as a whole to entertain and maybe even enlighten. No need to thank me Slocub, as I'm simply giving my view (as are others) - but thank you anyway... :-) Clearly there are some (many?) here who strongly dis...

Ok, in the absence of any replies (!) I did even more research, and whilst there is contradicting advice out there 'on balance' the answer to my own question would appear to be... "yes".

Leo F, I couldn't disagree with you more. I don't see that that season 2 was as bad as you say. And when I've heard Frost speak in an unedited format, he is very complimentary of DL even as he acknowledges DL unique creative process. You might overthinking all this. Sloclub, I don't think you'll co...

Eraserhead 2000 Edition - Question...

Can anyone please tell me, is the 2000 edition of Eraserhead presented in true widescreen? I've seen contradicting information on the web.

I currently have the 'triple bill' version, which is fine, however I would re-purchase this film to see it in anamorphic widescreen...

Today I found the time to read / view the whole book, accompanied by David's informative & entertaining commentary on the 2 x CDs... This is the way to experience this work - it's as though one were being given a private viewing by David himself... Terrific stuff! 8) I could listen to him talk f...

i think one thing we are failing to realize in relation to this show's demise is the fact that the first part of season 2 is when casual viewers started falling off. the masses really loved season 1 and right off the bat in season 2 the show turns into something very different than what it was. Per...

As for what went wrong? We, the fans, acted like sheep. We let ourselves get led around by the nose by network suits and scooty critics and an impatient audience. This is interesting, because personally nothing went wrong for me... I didn't see most of Season 2 at the time it was aired, due to life...

I think the first eight episodes of the second season are quite smooth (I think the Leland/jail/BOB episode is actual so anti-Twin Peaks and self indulgent.) And what's wrong with a bit of self-indulgence?! ;-) I personally love this episode, and find it to be one of Season 2's (many) highlights. I...

Re: celebrating season 2

But now as I rewatched Season 1 then slid into Season 2 it is as though I am watching TP for the first time. I am falling in love with the show, the characters, the actors (when you consider that Ray Wise looks like a Steve Dikko character from early Spider Man comics, that's just weird), the story...
