Re: The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer (Audiobook)
When the diary was first released there was a rumour going round that the missing pages could be purchased separately in a limited edition. The hours I spent searching to no avail.

Re: Miguel Ferrer Has Died
Terrible news. His performance as Albert Rosenfield was a highlight in a show filled with highlights.

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/18
Welcome to the forum, Joqu. I have the UK edition in front of me - pages are numbered up to 359... but are followed by 3 further printed (but not numbered) pages. No idea for the discrepancies in listings, but I think the US & UK versions are the same.

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
This may have been mentioned before but, according to the Cooper bio, the letter under Teresa Banks's fingernail appeared to be typed by a Smith-Corona Model 99. Not quite the same model used by the Archivist, and the Banks investigation in the book is wildly different from what we're shown in FWWM,...

Re: RE: Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
I did notice one actual typographical mistake in the printed book, I believe in the document from Jacoby about Nadine's psychological state after being shot in the eye, where a little segment about the glasses he wears is duplicated. Interestingly, this bit is read word-for-word in the audiobook. F...

Re: SPOILERS: Inconsistencies in the Secret History of Twin Peaks
Spotted a few internal inconsistencies with dates of Nadine losing her eye. From Hawk's report: P198 - Ed runs into Nadine 'in late 1984' P200 - Ed & Nadine 'got hitched three weeks later' P202 - Ed & Truman go hunting 'that fall' (1985) and Ed shoots Nadine's eye out And then in Jacoby's re...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
Finished this last night and loved it. At times I was a bit perplexed and frustrated with the incessant focus on UFOs and Millford, but it had a great payoff in the end. So, the outcome of the bank explosion was laid out for us. Loved the little touch that Pete helped shelter Audrey from the blast....

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
Indicates that this is actually a German/European keyboard layout, which you can also tell from the other keys on it. Can't help but think that this is supposed to say something. Also, the only other mention of a typewriter is of the "vintage Underwood" in the Bookhouse. The typewriter st...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
Book arrived last Saturday. I'd happened to pick up a replacement copy of The Wedding Present's Hit Parade album the day before, so stuck on their cover of Falling to open the (enticingly heavy) box. First thought was the book looks beautiful, then put on the season one soundtrack and got stuck in.....

This is great to hear. edit: I see now it was tweeted out by Jerry Horne. Is this info from someone on the ground in London, Jerry? No link, I'm a...

I should be at the book fair - if I can get any more details on the book I'll post them here.laughingpinecone wrote:We'll see if something surfaces during the book fair itself (in 2 weeks), but it looks like an industry-only event that's unlikely to be covered by the news.

Mainly been playing The The this weekend after picking up the 45rpm compilation for a couple of tunes I didn't have. This inevitably led to digging out the back catalogue.

Re: unanswered questions / mistakes / etc.
There are some minor editing "mishaps" during Leland's wake in episode 17 where the placement of Donna and Big Ed are concerned. We see Donna scooping food into a plate while Big Ed chats with a man in the background. Seconds later, Donna and Big Ed are standing together in another part o...
