Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

I really wouldn't mind if there was a "summer break" and it resumed at some point in the autumn.

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

I still wish they weren't dropping 4 episodes on day one. I agree, but maybe there's a good reason for it. My uneducated guess is that there is a big cliffhanger at the end of the second hour, plus they want to give a small hat tip to the 'bingers'. Maybe. Or maybe the first hours serve as an exten...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

I'll try to spread them out a bit, at least hold out on the 3rd and 4th hours for a few days, if not the entire week - I think it'll be more enjoyable that way. The downside is not being able to discuss it with anyone or visit the forums until I've caught up, but I want to savor it.

Re: Lynch to release memior 'Life & Work'

I was going to comment on how it's odd that he'd release it before the series, and then remembered the nonsensical way you Americans write your dates.. :D

Re: Recurring themes

I would say that Bob, the Phantom, and Frank booth are 3 characters that are very similar in nature, and could represent "the same' persona. Also you could group together. The Cowboy, Mystery Man, The Giant, Grace Zabriskies character from IE. If anything, I'd equate Leland, not Bob, with Fran...

Re: Showtime to Re-broadcast Original Series in 2017

I don't quite understand why they're doing a re-run leading right into the new series - I'd definitely want there to be a bit of a gap between both(and there will be one, as far as my own re-watch is concerned), but maybe that's just me.

Re: Bring out your DarkJazz!

You mean you don't see the video? It works for me.
Thanks for the rec.

This is a track I love. Now, this isn't really jazz, but it gets quite jazzy at times and you did allow for derivation from the genre:

Re: Quirks/Habits that enhance your Twin Peaks viewing experience

That's interesting because I've never figured out what affects my dreams and in what ways. I sleep like a baby after watching a horror movie, other times I toss and turn after an entirely uneventful day - although, whereas I had frequent nightmares during my childhood, I could almost count the ones ...

Re: Bring out your DarkJazz!

I discovered this genre pretty recently and I'm not really familiar with any bands apart from the four - Bohren & der Club of Gore, Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble, Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation and, of course, the Dale Cooper Quartet - which seem to be the ones everyone talks about. I'd love to...
