Re: A french singer video pays homage to Rabbits / INLAND EMPIRE

I don't think they have a Bob's Big Boy there. LOL, that's funny, yvanehtnioj1214 (that's hard to type/spell) I like your new avatar! Thanks, it's from my favorite scene of all time. The name is from a Simpsons episode. Here's the best quality clip I could find of the scene it's from: http://www.yo...

Re: David Lynch on Twitter

Yeah, I've been looking at this for a while now but I'm not very impressed. He basically just does a "thought of the day" and posts a link to the weather report. Why doesn't he put what he's working on (and I mean ANYTHING, even if it's a birdhouse)? Also, I was kind of weirded out by the ...

Re: The Elephant Man and The Straight Story

Oh yeah, I forgot that I don't like Wild At Heart as much as Lynch's other films. First time (and few next times) I saw Wild at heart was on a video, 4:3 on VHS tape. And I didn't like it at all. Few years later I was in a cinema on a Night with David Lynch. They were screening Lost Highway (pre-pr...

I found it to be a bit of a sob story, but that's just me.

I'm surprised David doesn't just live in Paris.

Re: "Do your palms ever itch?" All things Audrey

Wait, why did they just bring in another speedbump character in Annie? Gotta disagree with you there, although lots of other stuff you were saying made sense (I never cared much for Wheeler). While Cooper and Audrey would've made sense, I really liked Annie starting with the "penguin joke scen...

Re: The Elephant Man and The Straight Story

Thanks for your compliment yvanehtnioj1214 at the first part of your last post. But the thing that actually surprised me the most is the fact that only one person on this forum called Inland empire his or her favorite Lynch film, I don't know why but I expected that a lot more people would like it....

Cool, and the song was really nice too (even though I didn't understand it). How big Lynch is in France has always amazed me.

I would like to think Lynch and Frost would be more politically correct than that but, then again, that scene wouldn't have been out of the ordinary in The Cowboy and the Frenchman.

I have no idea. I think there is a chance he's still doing it since he's been traveling all over the place plugging TM and filming it but all that could just be for DLF TV now.

I'm going to see if I can go to the concert but I have a feeling that even the general admission tickets will cost an arm and a leg.

Re: The Elephant Man and The Straight Story

As I said in my post concerning the ranking of Lynchs movies, personally I nearly like all of them equally and the only one that I thought that is only a mediocre movie in my opinion is Dune but all of the other nine films are really hard to rank for me too. And please excuse my grammer I know it s...

Who here is going to the festival?

I just took the plunge and got tickets for my brother and me. It should be fun, and I think I'll make a vacation out of it, so I thought "what the hell?" Is anyone else going or at least thinking about it?

Re: Animation or Remake with Real Actors?

Yep, not quite there yet cost-wise or technology-wise. Do you know how much control the animators have over changes to the original film? Not quite sure, but probably about the same amount of control animators would have when any motion capture technology is used. The animators can tweak some thing...
