Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

Fantastic interview with Michael Horse: http://ihorror.com/deputy-hawk-a-twin-peaks-interview-with-michael-horse/ If y'all haven't already, take a break from your sleuthing and read this interview. It's got me really excited. Fave quote: "Like I often tell people, it’s like being in a painting...

Re: Showtime Re-broadcast of Original Series

Also, because the series is essentially from Cooper's POV we get a warm, wonder-filled tour of this strange, often dark but ultimately lovely town (no wonder Coop ends up just staying put). But how could we get the same warmth from the POV of Laura? It may not be pleasant, or redolent with all the ...

Not specific but still they still knew who the killer was early in the going.

Re: Showtime Re-broadcast of Original Series

I don't care what anyone says- FWWM is and always was a great film that was unfairly trashed simply because critics were tired of Twin Peaks and wanted Lynch to move on to something new. I am glad it is being recognized now for the classic that it is. People were also disappointed because the serie...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks

I kind of feel like the soap-opera element, beautifully as it was executed earlier on, will sort of be dropped by the wayside. I don't mind either way, but I just don't get the impression that satirizing soap operas is of interest to Frost or Lynch at this point. Any thoughts? I agree. I've been th...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

Do we really? I know nothing of the sort. It's true that there've been reports in the years since the series went off the air about the intended pairing of Audrey and Cooper, but had they proceeded with that, who knows where they'd end up. The thing is, from what I gather about the whole Twin Peaks-...

it will appear as a swan- origami style. I love the pink room scene- never knew it had that name- it's really the red room scene- too bad that was already taken. Maybe ' the red and blue room '? It''s more accurate anyway.

Great actor- R.I.P.
He's been in so many interesting films you start to lose count- and he was always great! Elephant Man, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Alien, Dead Man, Only Lovers Left Alive, etc.

Re: Hank Worden (Senor Droolcup) in 1978 Clint Eastwood movie

Recently I watched "Every Which Way But Loose", a 1978 film starring Clint Eastwood. It's kinda campy and fun to watch ;-) Of special interest to Twin Peaks fans might be the appearance of Hank Worden (Senor Droolcup/The Waiter). He plays the manager of a trailer park... and in this role ...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

I'd like to see the new season open up with a cherry pie eating contest with a bevy of town regulars participating- including the ' evil ' Dale ( I imagine he might even win ).

It was vision. I get what you mean. I hope that they work in sync - both contribute in their own ways. Nothing wrong with enjoying the show more than the movie, I'm in the same boat. It's the general feeling of the show that captivates you - going from those moments of sheer terror, absurdity, to t...

Re: Official Thread - Twin Peaks - Jan 13 - Kyle Returns Promo

Fine, that's your opinion. I don't want to discuss that any further on a forum dedicated to TP. I mostly meant the mainstream audience who love the show for it's quirky humor and lighter toned segments. You do know that majority of people don't like FWWM? That is what I mean. I'm sure that people o...

Re: Official Thread - Twin Peaks - Jan 13 - Kyle Returns Promo

I wouldn't mind at all if the show is more like Mulholland Drive or Lost Highway, but oh man, are some people going to be pissed if it's more Lynchian than expected. Reminds me how people got upset over S2 of True Detective, when it took a more surreal approach. The season was great, but it got lyn...
