Re: Blu-Ray release episode 7: video glitches?

I have noticed the same thing on the Pilot episode. When Doc Hayward fold the plastic to discover Laura, the last image of Laura's face. (after he said "Good Lord, Laura!") - the next frame shot of Laura's face shows a little distortion of image. it's a fraction of a second. Is it only my...

Re: Twin Peaks Blu-Ray Sync issues (spoiler free tech thread

My box set doesn't have any audio sync problems with the deleted scenes at all and I purchased it immediately after the release came out. I guess, it's not a problem of the set, but something is wrong with the player compatibility. All sets being part of the same batch should be identical. It's hard...

Re: Twin Peaks on Blu-Ray Official Discussion Thread - Spoil

Does anybody know, where can I find the alternate flashback scene of Laura and James and the short scene, which shows the doppelgangers of BOB and LMFAP in the Entire Mystery release as separate deleted scenes? Both scenes look perfectly remastered in the atmospherics. I've just finished rewatching ...

Re: Questions for Bob Engels

PLEASE ask him, how the idea of a place filled with creamed corn where BOB and Mike were supposed to return was born :) Was David Lynch its author and at what time period of shooting TWIN PEAKS did it first come to his mind? So the question is WHO and WHEN! If Robert Engels is talkative - in all int...

Blu-Ray release episode 7: video glitches?

Watching episode 7 I've stumbled upon some slight green strip, which takes a fraction of second, at 13:34 at the very bottom of the scene, where Truman and Andy set a trap for Jaques sitting in a police car. The strip appears almost exactly during the frame changing and is almost unnoticable. Does a...

Re: Twin Peaks on Blu-Ray Official Discussion Thread - Spoil

It's a Region Free release worldwide, don't worry Thank you Sam! Nice to hear it was a false alarm! I've just received the box, but it will take some time, till I join the conversation leaving my comments. I'd like to start with the series first, then watch the movie and after that the deleted scen...

Re: Twin Peaks on Blu-Ray Official Discussion Thread - Spoil

Can anybody tell me once and for all, if the US release is really region free? I've just noticed a popped up R1 sign in the American release description on amazon. I can't figure out, how such an important information can be negligently treated like this. I remember, the UK release was marked as R2,...

Re: Twin Peaks on Blu-Ray DVD Official Discussion Thread

Nobody has ever presented a convincing viewpoint on the oil - what is your understanding of that please? I must confess, saying ,,fairly convinced'' was a slight exaggeration of mine. The idea struck me today out of sudden when I was brushing my teeth... In my opinion there can be three ways how to...

Re: Twin Peaks on Blu-Ray DVD Official Discussion Thread

Going back to discussion about the stain on the rug/vision of Maddy I'm fairly convinced, the stain is in no way blood, but SCORCHED OIL.

Re: Rough/Blurry Footage and Differences (TV x DVD)

If all these changes were made due to remastering problems, I hope, that the new release will render the scenes as they originally looked (like BOB/Maddy scenes, Mike leaving the hospital scene etc.) At least, as the promo indicates, one original element was returned to the upcoming release - the or...

Re: Rough/Blurry Footage and Differences (TV x DVD)

Can anybody tell me, how close are the laserdiscs to the broadcast version :?: Do they contain initial takes of the scenes and effects (like the ones mentioned here) without later alterations or some changes had been made already at the time when TP on laserdiscs was released?

Re: FWWM questions (probably asked before but what the hell)

The idea of an earlier script selling on e-bay doesn't sound very plausible. I don't think anyone has seen the Cooper in Deer Meadow with Sam Stanley version. Surely the big fan who would have seen it would be on here now writing about it with us? I think, the idea nevertheless does sound plausible...

Re: FWWM questions (probably asked before but what the hell)

As far as I remember, Robert Engels talked even about the very early five-hours-movie draft. I guess, it can still exist in form of a hand-written outline. Probably it's the draft, where they tried to look back to the 50's and develope the ideas about another world, where BOB and Mike were eager to ...

Re: Twin Peaks on Blu-Ray DVD Official Discussion Thread

I'm starting to reconsider my standpoint about the oversaturation of colors, I think. I remember, that the show always had warm hues, which was as I heard a part of the trend of that time. The abundance of yellow and red hues from the broadcast version stuck in my memory. The reason, why all the col...
