Re: The Criterion Channel
Unfortunately, The Criterion Channel is not available outside of the US and Canada, so I can't access it without a VPN or some other shenanigans, and I don't have enough will to do that. Otherwise, I would have subscribed a long time ago...

Re: Trials and tribulations of being a writer
Maybe Stavrogyn would be open to the thread being renamed The Trials and Tribulations of Being a Creator or The Trials and Tribulations of Being a Writer or Other Creative Type or something along those lines? That would make my 'drifting off-topic' guilt far worse  I would be fine with renamin...

Re: Star Trek: Picard
Watched the first episode tonight - feels weird disconnecting and enjoying a show right now, but I really did enjoy it for those that haven’t watched it yet. Q!!!! Was looking forward to seeing John de Lancie reprise that role. The cgi of making him look younger was a surprise - had only seen him i...

Lynch should just announce the new season already, if nothing, then at least to give us some well-earned peace.

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this? Wisteria/Unrecorded Night? Something else? (Speculation thread.)
They made The Animated Series (1973-1974) as a sequel to Star Trek (1966-1969) with William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, and the rest of the original cast providing voices, so that's one example. But I would rather have a live-action sequel. Interesting clarifications from Hollywood Horror Museum - if we...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this? Wisteria/Unrecorded Night? Something else? (Speculation thread.)
Is anybody else afraid that if we ever get the confirmation that something is happening, Twin Peaks or not, a big part of the fun would be gone? What could kill the mystery more than David Lynch's announcement that they are making Twin Peaks season 4 indeed? It would be like Christmas: yes, the mome...

Yeah I'd discount the scare mag one, myself. Most of their "scoops" are from Actors Access, PW/PB/PL, twitter, reddit, and Sneaky Dave (I'm not joking on the last one). Interesting that you've heard things privately. P.S the Frost interview is now live https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/...

Re: Trials and tribulations of being a writer
I can understand procrastination very much; there are things I could have done years ago that are still waiting. I realized the other day that I haven't published anything new fiction-wise since 2016 - and that was a very short story. So yes, postponing action is, unfortunately, definitively my thin...

Trials and tribulations, triumphs and satisfactions of being a writer, an artist, or other creative type
I wanted to start a thread dedicated to writers, their creative processes, and writing in general for a long time, and I think this is the perfect opportunity. I finally broke my 7-year cycle of being stuck submitting the same series of fantasy novels (that came close with publishers and agents) and...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this? Wisteria/Unrecorded Night? Something else? (Speculation thread.)
I very much believe that the only reason for a new season not to happen would be if Lynch wasn't interested in it, if he felt that The Return was really the end. (Which would also be fine because it's great as it is.) Besides that, I really don't see a reason for it not to happen. I don't see why th...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this? Wisteria/Unrecorded Night? Something else? (Speculation thread.)
To suggest that all Lynch's intent is to troll is very moronic. His 'announcement' was something he wanted to make, but it was clear that he was told from somebody not to do so. After all, in 2020 there was supposed to be the Graceland event. Lynch is just one guy, he is not in control of the world...

Anyone who doesn't think that Lynch has a playfully trolling side should rewatch the french woman scene from TPTR. I apologize for diverging from the main topic, but I never understood why is that scene so controversial. To me, it's not only funny but I was also completely charmed by that woman the...

This has to happen! It would be such a pleasant fan-pleasing surprise and a great twist.DougieJones wrote: ↑Thu Feb 17, 2022 4:05 am The one thing that hasn’t changed though is Harry Truman is Sheriff.
Precisely what I expect if season 4 ever happens.DougieJones wrote: ↑Thu Feb 17, 2022 4:05 am I’m sure they would come up with something even more different than The Return.
