Re: My introduction to Twin Peaks, and some other stuff

Hey! I love what you wrote. I feel like a lot of things about the Lodges have been talked about before but you've dialed in and come the closest to how I feel about them and their inhabitants. While also giving me a slightly differing view of them. I will try and organize my thoughts and post someth...

Re: Twin Peaks: Season Three confirmed for 2016 on Showtime

Interesting points by all. I wonder if they decide to air the original series as a lead up to the new series how the Second Season will be received by new viewers. Wow. This is a really really good point. Over the winter a bar here in Montreal showed two episodes of Twin Peaks every Tuesday. It was...

Re: A Recap of the Pilot with Alternate Ending

I always liked the alt ending better, because that was how I always watched the pilot. However I agree with you that its nice to think of it as it's own entity. Yeah, for me I was told by the owner of the video store where I rented Twin Peaks to stop it right after Sarah Palmer has her vision of Bo...

Re: A Recap of the Pilot with Alternate Ending

I would be very interested in seeing somebody make an extended version of Coopers dream in episode 2. Somebody with the tools and skills that I lack!

Re: Deleted Scenes

I took a look around and can't seem to find an answer to my question:

Are the deleted scenes still only available on the Lime Green Boxset?

Re: Twin Peaks on Blu-Ray Official Discussion Thread - Spoil

Nobody noticed the cigar before? I did. And also the design on the Jerry shirt that reminds me the Totem at the Great Northern Hotel... The one thing I had never noticed before was was during the pilot - Cooper, Truman, and Jacoby are speaking outside the elevator in the hospital basement. Jacoby h...

Re: A Rough Guide to making your own FWWM Extended Cut

I'm providing you all with updated transparent screen text images to use in your own fan edits. When I originally made the screen text for Q2, I was using the French Blu-ray image for reference. That Blu-ray has significantly different coloring (more muted white, and grey black instead of pure blac...

Re: Twin Peaks on Blu-Ray Official Discussion Thread - Spoil

I thought the juxtaposition between the lovely, bittersweet, and funny scene with Big Ed and Norma in the truck; and the Laura, Donna, Buck, and the other guy driving like crazy to the partyland scene was fantastic. Just breathtaking. I so wish that was all left in the film. There are a few scenes I...

Re: A Rough Guide to making your own FWWM Extended Cut

I believe Coop's last scene in The Black Lodge in The Missing Pieces is actually supposed to be the last scene before Laura's Angel. If you look at the crossfade between Laura's corpse in the theatrical cut and Coop's face in The Missing Pieces, they both lead into the same shot. http://i58.tinypic...

Re: A Rough Guide to making your own FWWM Extended Cut

It's not easy I'll tell you. A few scenes with no music are extensions of others with music. Others you have to fade out, fade in or blend fade one into another otherwise the cut will be too abrupt. And the Cooper/Diane scene you mentioned, I'm thinking about leaving that out as well. I like the sc...

Re: A Rough Guide to making your own FWWM Extended Cut

Not necessarily :) I don't think all the deleted scenes will play out well inserted back in. Like I said above, in my opinion a few scenes look better in the original edit. That's one of them. That's why I want to do my own edit. I agree. I also found a few small scenes that were nice to see but ar...
