Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)
Wow- this was completely incredible. The best episode of the series so far for me, and for sure one of the episodes that puts the familiar elements in the style of the new show so completely that it will change my viewing of parts 1 - 6. As I expected, the violent confrontation happened to Dougie an...

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)
Am managing to resist. The other thing I find difficult is that I queue up the episode on hulu, and it's tempting to quickly scan through and see what plot lines are covered. It's crazy- I spent years avoiding spoilers, then my will power breaks right at the end. Last week, I opened this thread hopi...

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)
Arrrrrrgh, sitting at work dying to see what's in the episode 7 thread but I daren't look before I can watch the episode tonight. I did that for parts 5 and 6 and it ruined some nice surprises.

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)
Really getting excited now, am totally loving the anticipation of each episode.
mtwentz- you are quite right about trying not to impose expectations. Easier said than done though!

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)
hahaha- I was thinking the same thing! I have really high hopes for this weeks episode, but I'm sure I'll be frustrated as a result. Rather than build on the Diane and "found pages" revelations, for example, I can honestly see this week going back to Buckhorn and ignoring those development...

Re: "The Prisoner" connections with DougieCoop (Prisoner spoilers)
The Prisoner is the best series of all time, and The Schizoid Man is the best episode!!

Re: General Discussion on the New Series (All Opinions Welcome)
I read Lynch swerves, and for full disclosure I should mention that I am a physicist by trade so I had to forgive some abuses of scientific concepts. I think that much of Lynch swerves is interesting, but they are very much her ideas and not Lynch's. Of course we'll never really know, but this seeme...

Re: How many times have you rewatched? (SPOILERS)
I feel lucky to have got to see an exhibition of Lynch's paintings recently. The series is really close to those, particularly in the special effects. So none of the look of it has surprised me.

Yeah for sure- it would be a disaster to dump the whole lot.
I do basically count the days to the next episode though, so something is working

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)
I also had the thought that next episode, Dougie gets attacked by the hit man and suddenly wakes up, but it's just as likely that he gets attacked, somehow recalls his boxing move and stumbles comedically through the encounter. Or maybe it just goes back to Buckhorn for 45 minutes, then they release...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
The funny/fascinating thing for me is this: let's say that you know an old TV show is coming back 25 years after a show that everyone loved, and you are asked to predict what will happen. Straight away, you'll say "some people will love it, some people will hate it, it'll probably be really dif...

Really nice interview with Kyle, and he gives me faith that this really is building to something amazing.

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)
Most of the frustration seems to centre on the endless drawn out Dougieness. If this were to wrap up pretty quickly, it would make the first 6 (7? 8?) episodes less agonising for most of us I suspect, since they would become a necessary prelude to something rather than a source of endless anxiety ab...
