I think I remember Mark stating something like that. That a whole portion he originally intended for the first book was left out because it would be damaging towards the series. An AMA? an interview? podcast?

I guess we can expect a more elaborate promotion during the airing of S3. It fits the time frame for TSHOTP's promotion and is of course the most strategic marketing wise.
