Credits still playing coy with Shelly's surname. She remains simply "Shelly."
Conversely, Norma still is keeping Hank's last name 20-odd years after his knifing in prison. (Conveniently avoiding the Smythe/Blackburne/Lindstrom question.)

Re: Part 5 (SPOILERS)
I also wanted to make sure I knew the name of the boss (Bushnell) -- who, as others may have already noted (I haven't read all 14 pages of this thread), is the boxer in the poster behind his desk. The first name is an obvious reference to Bushnell Keeler, a painter and early mentor of DKL. DKL has ...

Re: Part 5 (SPOILERS)
Huh? The cast list (Kyle aside) is in alphabetical order by actor name, and clearly says "In Alphabetical Order" at the start of the list.cy cy wrote:It's the titles. She's credited in every episode and it's in order of apperance.

Re: Part 5 (SPOILERS)
First chunk of this one dragged and reinforced my fears about Part 4 -- glacial pace, too much focus on the Lynch/Frost style of comedy which I don't really love (I've liked Constance/Jane Adams a lot to date, but the drawn-out "headlines" gag was a groaner on par with the Andy/Lucy stuff)...

Re: POLL! Your reaction to Twin Peaks: The Return, pts. 1 through 4 (SPOILERS)
Interesting note: Last night, when Parts 3+4 aired together on Showtime, I totally expected the performance from the end of Part 3 to be cut out (so that it would go right from Albert's valium line back to Coop in Vegas), but that isn't what happened. Instead, it cut to the Roadhouse and the perfor...

Re: Annie Speculation (SPOILERS)
I think in the wide shot, it's pretty explicitly coffee. Gyllenhaal may have chosen to use syrup in the close-up because even a slowed-down coffee drip didn't achieve the effect he wanted. But I don't think there's much doubt that -- whatever the actual real-world on-set substance might have been --...

Re: Confess your Twin Peaks sins
I also feel the original series loses the reality and scope of the Pilot. The Pilot feels like a real, inhabited world in a way that the series, even at its absolute best, never quite does for me. That's exactly what this new season's guilty of as well. So far. While I have some issues with the pac...

Re: Annie Speculation (SPOILERS)
I'm pretty sure that's coffee dripping in excruitiatingly slow motion, not syrup. You can see it in a long shot, as I recall. This is echoed by the solid/liquid/viscous coffee in Episode 29 (DKL possibly taking a cue from Gyllenhaal? -- and implying some Black Lodge correlation to that scene).

Re: Crazy Credits (Possible spoilers)
So, aside from the cast list and song list, the credits seem to be for the overall series and not episode-specific, right? E.g., the "Film France" credit is on every episode even though we haven't seen a scene in France. Every episode has featured a credit saying clips from the original sh...

Re: Parts 1 + 2 (SPOILERS)
No giant sequence at all. It's just a hard cut from the trunk to Bill running his fingers over his head. In fact, there's a sound bridge between the scene with the meat in the trunk and Bill in his cell--that low rumble fades in during the shot of the trunk, continues over the cut, and then cuts ou...

Re: Parts 1 + 2 (SPOILERS)
Did anyone see that Showtime posted "part 2" on Facebook for everyone to see? They started it right at the beginning of the scene where Hastings is in his jail cell with this hands on his head and his wife comes in. It's also interesting that they've bleeped out the profanity and covered ...

Re: Tamara Preston - Chrysta Bell - Horrible Acting (Spoilers)
All I'm trying to say is that it is a bit much. Take actresses like Cate Blanchett. Pure class. She has never needed to "sex it up". That's a pretty extreme example. Yes, I agree -- Blanchett, one of the top 5 most skilled actresses currently working in Hollywood (she played the most conv...

Re: Tamara Preston - Chrysta Bell - Horrible Acting (Spoilers)
I understand people disliking the performance so far, but the personal attacks on Bell seem unwarranted (calling her "crazy" and egocentric). I know next to nothing about her. I own her DKL-produced album and EP. Both have some really good tracks, some mediocre. I like them, think she has ...

Jerry refeering to Beverly as the new girl seems to be a reference to One Eyed Jack's 25 years ago: "Let's have a look at the new girl" As well as of course being the title of a hit Fox series starring the daughter of original series director Caleb Deschanel and...Eileen Hayward actress M...
