I think the book deals mostly with the gap between S2 and S3 though, so this is to be expected.

Re: RE: Re: Final Dossier Spoilers

My apologies, I think I must've been getting confused! His answer to this was: After the events of Episode 29, Annie was rushed to the hospital, where she acted consciously for about a day. Then she fell into the catatonic state we witnessed in The Missing Piece. Her recovery was slow, but eventual...

Re: Final Dossier Spoilers

What about Annie and Windom Earle? Any concrete info/spoiler? Anyone? Much obliged in advance. I can't remember about Windom Earle but Annie apparently isn't mentioned significantly/at all. That's strange. It's my understanding that there's a whole chapter named after her directly! How on Earth is ...

Re: Final Dossier Spoilers

That sure sounds like an opening for Season 4 to me. But it could also be an ending, period. I think what Part 18 means - whatever the interpretation of events - is that nothing Cooper did could ever truly erase Laura's story. My mind is racing with all the possibilities opened up from this and I c...

Re: Final Dossier Spoilers

More updates HUGE SPOILERS again Q: Anything about Shelly’s daughter? It's written that an intervention from her parents saved her from any lasting legal persecution, that Steven is wanted in connection to an international drug trafficking ring (which included Chad Broxford and Richard Horne, and it...

Re: Final Dossier Spoilers

In case anyone isn't a member, I'll put some of his answers below. Naturally HUGE SPOILERS to follow: Q: How long is it? Did you liked it? Any info on Judy, the girl from the 50s and Cooper and Diane's final plan? In the order: 168 pages (slimmer than TSHOTP) Yes, a lot Plenty, yes (her identity is ...

Final Dossier Spoilers

Not sure if anyone is a member of the Twin Peaks:DiaLOG group on Facebook but a fellow member called Pietro Cascia appears to have had an advance copy of TFD and read it and is dispensing huge spoilers on the following thread: https://www.facebook.com/groups/309331072838846/ He seems to be very good...

Re: Understanding When the Dream Began Can Explain Twin Peaks: The Return

I think Josie is shown in the flashback because it's iconically the first shot of Twin Peaks. It wouldn't have the same impact if it started with the second ever shot of Twin Peaks. This is the sequence in which we were introduced to Twin Peaks and we see how it could all have gone differently. I th...

Re: Tulpas vs. Doppelgangers

There's also the box in the gold-panning dish in Buenos Aires which seems somehow connected to the tulpa process via the little gold nugget/'seed'. I doubt we can draw too many firm conclusions from this as we get next to no context, but I'm sure we're led to make strong connections between the gold...

Re: RE: Re: FINAL POLL!!!!!!! Your Reaction to The Return as a Complete Work

People are making every excuse in the book to justify these decisions, but I wonder why it's so difficult to admit that some of this was flubbed? Maybe they just have a genuinely held opinion that's different to yours :) The lack of resolution is a gut-punch for me too, but as with many other aspec...

Re: What were the most impactful scenes of TP:TR?

Hard to pick just a few but for me: Part 8: The whole thing was incredible, but the first scene where we see the Woodsmen with Moonlight Sonata slowed down really moved me. It set such a high emotional bar and the episode just didn't drop from that point until the end. As I was watching that scene, ...

Lynch sets record straight on Bowie dub

https://pitchfork.com/thepitch/david-lynch-interview-on-bowie-and-music-that-inspired-the-new-twin-peaks/ "We got permission to use the old footage, but he didn’t want his voice used in it. I think someone must have made him feel bad about his Louisiana accent in Fire Walk With Me, but I think ...

Re: Numerology in TP:TR (spoilers)

I completely agree about Lynch (less so Frost) using these breadcrumb style clues. I remember sitting up and getting ready to pay attention for a man in a smiling bag, etc after the Giant's clues to Cooper in the original series, only to realise that there was nothing to be done on the part of the v...

Re: Watching 17 and 18 in sync

When I saw the Sabrina Sutherland AMA, I thought her response was unusually direct, but the poster asked specifically if the two episodes were meant to be watched overlaid, rather than concurrently/side-by-side, etc. I'm of the belief that any meaning we infer from the two episodes being played simu...
