That’s silly. If he’s ready to make a movie/show, he’ll do it. He doesn’t love leaks, but he’s not going to halt a multimillion dollar production over it.

Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)

On approaching the desert location where Cooper will exit the car at 430 mile mark ("the threshold"), we see skid marks on the pavement. Those look to be the ones that Mr. C's car was making as he was losing control of it (judging by the surrounding ground features). If so, then that was ...

Briggs also explicitly mentions Judy Garland after returning from the Lodges.

I was thinking more of truly unfilmed movies, i.e., Dune was ultimately made in some form obviously, albeit by someone else. Yeah, I was thinking of RR. Perhaps not the most famous. Probably depends who you ask. But definitely very high on the list.

Was Unrecorded Night the name of the copyrighted scripts? I can’t even remember where that name first surfaced Yup! I think the registered script titles may have been where we first saw it? Can’t remember https://cocatalog.loc.gov/cgi-bin/Pwebrecon.cgi?v1=1&ti=1,1&Search%5FArg=Unrecorded%20...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this? Wisteria/Unrecorded Night? Something else? (Speculation thread.)

Did Unrecorded Night jinx itself with its very name? Has it always been doomed to become Unfilmed Script as some sort of cosmic joke? I’m not entirely convinced that this wasn’t always Lynch’s plan. To write the unfilmed anti-movie, as a work of anti-performance art. It would certainly befit the ma...

(And we haven't even hit 500 pages yet! )
I’ve always thought it was a new Lynch project that wasn’t necessarily TP-related. But yeah. Doesn’t look like whatever it was is happening right now. Sad.

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

talent in front of the camera like Kyle and Laura Dern get a lion's share of press attention, but when you think about it, a 1st A.D. does a hell of a lot of heavy lifting on set, 16 hour days, does a lot of unpleasant work with making things run on time, and to be Lynch's AD for so many projects, ...

Re: David Lynch "Hole" movie with Bobcat Goldthwait?

Could that be The Happy Worker? Edit: sounds like it is. THE HAPPY WORKER is a timeless fairytale of people and their pursuit of happiness. Joe Anderson (Josh Whitehouse) is your average Joe. He gets up, drinks the coffee his wife Joanne (Meagan Holder) makes, and goes to work every morning for his...

Re: 2021 Thoughts on Season 3

Lynch’s best friend Jack Fisk once said that Lynch would probably be a murderer if he didn’t have his art as an outlet. I’m sure he was joking, but if you look at Lynch’s paintings in particular, I think he works out a lot of his inner darkness through his art in an almost therapeutic way, so that h...

Re: 2021 Thoughts on Season 3

It’s interesting how subjective even conversations about Lynch can be! I haven’t seen many fans going crazy about criticism of season 3, but I’m sure there have been some. My issue was not with criticism of the show but with the characterisation of season 3 fans as sycophants or cult-members. Can y...

Cheers to Lynch and Frost for doing whatever they wanted to do and not surrendering, but did anyone outside of the Lynch echoplex really dig it? I know popular opinion does not exclusively mean success (I think Mozart and Van Gogh died broke) but the whole nature of The Return is basically telling ...

Re: 2021 Thoughts on Season 3

Andy called him 'Roserfeld' Lucy also says “Rosenfeld” in Episode 1 (forgot about that), but Albert in Episode 2 and Gordon in Episode 13 both say “Rosenfield,” which is how it’s spelled in the scripts and in TFD. I think Albert even spells it out to Lucy at the sheriff's station. You are correct! ...

Re: 2021 Thoughts on Season 3

Rosenfeld, not -field right? Don't know if that was a joke about re-writing. It’s “-field,” per the scripts, the books, and Albert’s own pronunciation when he introduces himself. The “-feld” misspelling I believe comes from the end credits of FWWM and has been periodically propagated by fans since,...
