Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?
I feel like all this casting smoke is pretty good indication that there's a fire. Hopefully we'll get some word soon if this is Twin Peaks related or not.

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?
Personally I would want a continuation on Netflix if possible. Netflix would provide Lynch with the budget he needs with no artistic restrictions. Also it would help get Twin Peaks to a wider audience . Netflix's business model is not creator-friendly, though. Based on their algorithms, in terms of...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?
There's always been ulterior motives in what the Academy decides which films to award. Since the Oscars have been awarded this has never changed. Films that stray from convention get overlooked the same as films that are too popular. There's no doubt that right now, being financed by Netflix is goin...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?
So every time an undeserving White man wins an award it's merit based... (like Joker's 11 nomimations)... but the first time in history they award a foreign film it's because they are trying to be "woke". Spectacular logic. The the term "woke" needs to be taken out to the back of...

Mark Frost interviewed on the latest Red Room Podcast: http://www.scottryanproductions.com/178-conversations-with-mark-frost-podcast/ Some interesting Twin Peaks tidbits, including a revelation about the Cooper being shot cliffhanger. Regarding Season 4, when the host Scott declared he wasn't going ...

Re: Lynch's short "What Did Jack Do?" now on Netflix
If Lynch isn't working on Season 4 of Twin Peaks, I hope Netflix will send a small sliver of those billions of dollars they are spending on original content Lynch's way for a feature film or miniseries. Hopefully they are getting good numbers with this short.

I don't usually care too much about the Oscars. I rarely agree with the choices, I think they hold too much importance in the industry. The actual event is a bore that I never watch, etc. And yet, I don't recall ever being as shocked or irritated by a film getting this much Oscar hype. It has more n...

Re: Twin Peaks Season 3, Star Wars, JJ and Fan Service
It pretty much did, that occurrence unraveled the threads that led all the different groupings to Mr.C/The Sheriff's station. And the murder was solved mainly through the help of Mayor Briggs leaving the wedding ring as evidence and William Hastings' Bermuda confession. And yes, The Woodsmen and Mr...

Re: Twin Peaks Season 3, Star Wars, JJ and Fan Service
A new murder/new mystery format may have worked with Twin Peaks/quote] There was a new murder mystery, in the first episode of TPTR the decapitated head of a woman was found on top of the body of a much larger and older man. They kept that part of the formula (this time inspired by The Black Dahlia...

Re: Twin Peaks Season 3, Star Wars, JJ and Fan Service
A new murder/new mystery format may have worked with Twin Peaks, but even then I think they'd have to change things up to a degree to keep the story fresh. If they'd taken the JJ Abrams Star Wars approach, it'd be another mystery about a murdered high school prom queen (maybe this time murdered by h...

Re: Twin Peaks Season 3, Star Wars, JJ and Fan Service
What it boils down to is that there are two camps in both Twin Peaks and Star Wars: 1. Camp 1- stick to the formula that has worked 'time and time again' 2. Camp 2- Experiment, try something different, push the boundaries further. Neither camp is right or wrong- it's a matter of what people are loo...

Re: Twin Peaks Season 3, Star Wars, JJ and Fan Service
Honestly everything Terrio is trying to explain is almost comical, but totally agree that Abrams, Terrio and everyone else involved completely failed to recognize the importance of what was done with that character in lieu of the harassment. That's worse but up the same alley as the disingenuous sel...

Re: Twin Peaks Season 3, Star Wars, JJ and Fan Service
Did anyone read Brad Dukes article in Blue Rose Magazine? I did. I understand it was him voicing his personal feelings, but the mag presented it as a 'critical' essay and I found it anything but. It had a lot of fallacies in thought. For instance, the new series is put under this hyper-scrutinizing...

Re: Twin Peaks Season 3, Star Wars, JJ and Fan Service
It seemed to be to be a significant percentage of the fan base that didn't like S3. Whatever the actual amount, the key thing is the most vocal dissenters would call themselves "fans". Did anyone read Brad Dukes article in Blue Rose Magazine? He wasn't exactly a loud dissenter as it took h...

Re: New Star Wars Getting Skewered
I finally did see The Rise of Skywalker, and I was bored, and I can say that was never really the case when I saw the first two of the new trilogy. The Last Jedi at least had some memorable moments... this had almost nothing that I could get myself invested in.
