Re: Another New Lynch Film with Laura Dern?

I saw that! Every now and again these little things crop up... like that one from Laura Elena Harring some time back. Maybe it's the same thing. I have no doubt that Lynch is working on something... but 'what' that might be, or in what form it currently exists, or even if we'll ever see it..well, wh...

Re: Twin Peaks retrospective at USC

That is an absolutely phenomenal line-up. I'm so jealous! But glad that we have a board-member going.... You must come back and give us a summary! Can't wait to see what they have planned for the other days.

Re: Twin Peaks reboot in the works?

To me, what's great is that this rumour (although now pretty much confirmed as rubbish) has got people talking about possible future directions! Whether or not it'll ever happen, it's so great to hear everyone's ideas and I hope this chat continues for a while longer. I agree with a previous poster ...

Re: Twin Peaks reboot in the works?

(hmmm, so yeah -I guess it was about Laura) That made me laugh. As tempted as I am to let my imagination run wild with what Lynch and Frost could do... I have to stop myself and admit that I don't really want a Twin Peaks reboot. It's just that fear of it being a let-down and ruining the orig...

Re: Rough Edits of Twin Peaks episodes #006 & #007 exposed

Thank-you so much for sharing these discoveries! It's extraordinary that they've survived, and furthermore that they've been found and rescued. I feel privileged to see these new Laura Palmer words! And do you know what? I was even more excited knowing that they put Patsy Kline over the top of Nadin...

Re: Unreleased Twin Peaks Music Announcements - Official Thr

Oh my goodness.... I absolutely LOVE this final release... I can't believe it. Wow. Thank-you soooo much! I have to confess that I've been very tied up with work etc lately which means that I still haven't heard all the archive releases. What an absolute treat I must have in store for the next few w...

Re: Last Film You Watched

The Birds (1963). Watched another one of those movies about a small, picture perfect town which comes to grip with an unprovoked menace, complete with an interestingly named character. I love "Birds"! Seen so many times... My last film: Shutter Island - great movie. I watched Psycho last ...

Re: David Lynch - Crazy Clown Time [Official Video]

I understand where you're both coming from - although, I did like INLAND EMPIRE (even if I still think it could do with a good Editor). This is maybe my least favourite song on the album too, and I think that you're attitude towards the music might determine to a large extent how you feel about the ...

Re: Are you done with film? DL: I think I am.

I nearly had a heart attack when I saw the thread title... I thought it meant 'done with movies'... and being that I live in hope that we'll still see another Lynch feature film, that may have made me cry  But now I realise that he was talking about film v DV .... that looks like a really inter...

Re: First time you saw Fire Walk With Me

Ah but I hate full theatres! My dream is to see MD in the theatre, ALONE  I was pretty much a baby when FWWM came out, so I first saw the film about 5 years ago on DVD. Unfortunately I have a very small television so it wasn't the best viewing experience, aesthetically speaking. I think I've w...

David Lynch month at BFI Southbank

Just a heads up to any Brits... BFI Southbank in London seem to have labelled February their David Lynch month! They are showing almost every (if not every) film throughout the month.. some multiple times. There are also two other events that sound really interesting. One discusses Lynch's early yea...

Did anyone see her in 30 Rock.. I think it was the First Season? She looked fantastic and was a great match for Alec Baldwin.

Re: Link between Eraserhead and FWWM

I've always been fascinated by the possibility that Lynch's works all live in the same universe. I believe, though I can't remember where I saw the quote, that Lynch did confirm that Twin Peaks and Mulholland Drive live in the same universe. This is backed up by the fact that in the very early days ...

Re: Last Film You Watched

Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (US version). Urgh. Not really that impressed tbh. I hadn't read the book or seen the original film, but I still knew exactly who 'did' it almost from the start. I also thought Rooney Mara was cardboard, and her character totally uninteresting. Daniel Craig was probably t...
