Re: The Random Season 3 Thread

I agree with yaxomay and LateReg that Leland’s function in the plot is key, particularly since it makes him and Cooper complicit in some way. Cooper’s entire mission—which arguably is horribly misguided and detrimental to Laura, depending on your interpretation—is undertaken at Leland’s instruction...

Re: Theories & Speculation

Well - so much for this theory . . .

Really wish the interviewer had asked about other theories since he seemed to be in a talkative mood.

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

LOL :D

Would love to be in a theater though watching a scene from the Red Room with the strobe lights and Bob slinking out from behind the curtain. I’m not sure how they would manage the talking backwards part, so I guess it would have to be recorded.

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

I enjoyed watching the interview. I’d love to see a Season 4, but if it doesn’t happen, I wonder if anyone would be interested in adapting Twin Peaks into a play for Broadway. I don’t know if Lynch/Frost would be into that or give their blessing to someone to try, but my inner geek would love to see...

Re: Episode 2

Thanks for bringing up this analogy. I remember watching the end of 17 and remembering Leland shattering the picture as well. I can't help but think that was intentional by L&F and we were supposed to be reminded of that scene for some reason. Doesn't Leland also smear blood on the picture? It r...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

I'm sort of torn - while part of me is dying for a Season 4, there's also a part of me that is fine with Season 3 being the conclusion. Lynch and Frost are older and another season is such a huge amount of work, and if there is a Season 4, we'll be asking for a Season 5, 6, etc. - don't want them to...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

My father just got out of bypass surgery last week, which I tried to strenuously argue he shouldn't do at his age (87) without a second opinion first. He had a stroke during the operation and I am just praying he is able to recover to his full self, but I am starting to have my doubts. Very sorry a...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

I just hope they do it before too many more people croak. :| C'mon, we're all thinking it! Yep - but regardless of age or unhealthy habits, we all know tomorrow is never promised. Hope this isn't oversharing, but my Mom has had several strokes and is in the early phases of dementia and it's hard - ...

Re: Phillip Jeffries imposter / Lost Highway connection?

Another part of the mystery is Jeffries (or whoever it is on the line) is ticked about Evil Coop meeting with Major Briggs. If it is Albert, I don't think it means Albert has gone rogue - he could have been doing this to thwart Evil Coop - not help him. Remember, Jeffries or his imposter put out a h...

Re: Phillip Jeffries imposter / Lost Highway connection?

There's also the scene when Cole answers the door of his hotel room, sees the image of Laura, and hears the same cry of "Laura" that Carrie Page hears in the last scene. Albert is at the door. I think the shot of Laura is from FWWM when she goes to Donna's and ask her if she's her friend. ...

Re: What would a Season 4 be about?

Following the discussion here today, I keep thinking of Maddy in the lodge in episode 29, and her "watch out for my cousin". If Laura is Athena, then it is more likely that Maddy is Persephone, and her murder by Leland analogous to Persephone's abduction by Hades. ] This reminded me of th...
