And then she describes what she saw in a very detailed manner.

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/18

Whoa! You know, I'm starting to look forward to the audiobook's background music and noises, among other things. & If he managed to find a good excuse for people in-universe to be calling that metaphysical place "Lodge(s)", my hat's off to him & his awesome retconning powers. ('ca...

I am so glad that they didn't forget to include Penderecki's Threnody in the CD release, for a while I saw tracklists that didn't have it and was getting a bit mad

Re: Poll: Worst Roadhouse performance

I actually really, really loved how much of an absurd and ironic contrast the Lizzie song was to the rest of the episode, I actually genuinely enjoyed it even though I'm not a fan of that type of music  :D To put it bluntly, that music made me hysterical that week after that episode, it was a...

Re: So is there anyone else who prefers The Return to the original?

there is a basic difference between the series 27 years ago and the one now that is worth drawing attention to. 27 years ago the cast were young and hot. Now several people are dead and many of the rest are pensionable or semi-retired. That alone might suggest a shift in perspective. Yep, good poin...

Re: So is there anyone else who prefers The Return to the original?

The Return immersed me maybe even more than anything else Lynch has created (which is really saying something). In many ways it makes the original series pale in comparison to me, but then the original series in some sense has a different trajectory, which makes comparisons useless. As much as I lov...

Re: Poll: Would you like to see a 4th season happen? (SPOILERS PERMITTED)

I loved the fuck out of season three and believe it is one of the best things Lynch has done (which really surprised me considering how great his films are) but I vote NO. Once you get something special, it's common to ask for more, and more and more and more but sometimes it's either just not neces...

I watched Kafka (1991) with Jeremy Irons the other day, and I wouldn't be surprised if Lynch was influenced by that a little. It reminded me of The Return anyway. Good movie!

Re: From an artistic standpoint, why was The Return needed at all?

Isn't the question being asked, actually the opposite? From an artistic standpoint? absolutely, Lynch has something he wanted to say and he said it. But from a narrative? that is where it gets convoluted depending on your interpretation and conception of the story that has been laid out in front of ...

Cooper has obviously known Diane WAY longer than both Audrey and Annie 8) , plus 25 years in the black lodge may have given him time to think about things?
