Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

I keep thinking about all the glaring errors that were in TSHOTP - stuff that there was no way they could have gotten wrong on account of reviewing the first two seasons... it feels to me like there aren't any mistakes here. I recall an interview where Frost basically stated they did NOT go back an...

I keep thinking about all the glaring errors that were in TSHOTP - stuff that there was no way they could have gotten wrong on account of reviewing the first two seasons... it feels to me like there aren't any mistakes here. So do you think that a clever means of concealing the bigger picture has g...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

I'm going to assume Cooper would somehow know to create one that amazingly lacks that defect. Maybe if it is a direct tulpa of him it would be of stronger moral character. Personally I think Naomi Watts would stop me seeking meaningless sexual encounters... let's not give Cooper all the credit here...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

I haven't yet processed all the implications how Diane/Tulpa-Diane seemed so real -- had a lover leaving the apartment in Philly when Albert & Gordon paid their visit -- reaction to seeing/ talking to Mr C was so real - - snarky with her retorts and checking her text messages with all the famil...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

Ok- so here are my thoughts after a rewatch: -I'm still confused about the Diane scene with the agents. The memories are definitely real, the emotion is real. I think she figures out that she's not really her in the moment. And I think Naido is her . It's notable that the tulpas do seem to become t...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

If Richard's father was born in 1973, then he would be nearly 25 years his senior. That's one small detail about his arrest report that seems to "make sense" in light of what he said to Richard regarding their age difference. The report listed his birthdate as August 15, 1973. It was rega...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

Not really sure we can say the Mitchum Bros have "Hearts of Gold". Pretty sure they are still murderers, and were definitely planning to Kill Dougie... I have had more & more reservations about the hearts-of-gold madness the more I think about it, how it seems to have overlooked some ...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

I know that time is limited, but I hope that Cooper doesn't just "know" everything that he needs to do now. It would be great to see him use his investigative skills and intuition to figure things out instead of just having everything already downloaded into his head somehow. His detectiv...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

Just trying to stay concise. A lot to unpack here. As I mentioned a few posts ago, maybe all the Roadhouse scenes are from a parallel story, whether Audrey's or someone eleses. Some of them must be real, such as James and Freddie's trouble with Renee's husband and friend. That had consequences whic...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

But Ray was killed and had to have a ring to go into the Lodge? Are there different rules for tulpas and humans? I would imagine so. And remember Ray was supposed to slip the ring onto Doppelcoop - that's why he had it. Sending Ray to the Lodge was his way of telling them they had failed? I said in...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

I think Dougie had the ring because it was supposed to be DoppelCoop's "sigil" to wear upon return... but he made Dougie wear it to give the impression it was him... The Lodge seemed to think they were bringing the correct person back... and then, immediately, realised they had made a mis...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

Oops, guess I forgot about that. Well ... okay, I don't know why "Diane" didn't need a ring. Because she was killed, not repossessed by the Lodge. But Ray was killed and had to have a ring to go into the Lodge? Are there different rules for tulpas and humans? I would imagine so. And remem...

Exactly, I had forgotten all about that.

Personally I don't think this is the case but we shall see next week, I guess

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

If all the characters in a dream are really aspects of the dreamer, as the log lady says in the introduction to episode 9 (s02e01) The "cooper's doppelgänger" character was conceived 25 years prior to the Richard Horne character. The only place he's "25 years his senior" is in t...
