Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31
I have to say, though, I find Mark’s approach to the other characters in TSH uneven. Pretty much EVERYONE has Albert-esque snarkiness to some degree, even Hawk and Major Briggs. It works for Albert, but I like it less as the sort of “house style.” Agree 100%. And all it does it make me wish that Al...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31
It's interesting to read these pages because Frost clearly demonstrates a surprising knack for remembering a lot of details from the latter half of Season 2, like Leo's shock collar, birthday cake crumbs in his hair, etc. It just makes it even more odd that he would forget things like Ed and Nadine...

Re: Favourite Music from the TP Collection to Date
It's hard for me to divorce the music from the visuals but I love the version of the main theme that plays when Ben Horne watches home movies of the Great Northern groundbreaking ceremony (I believe it's called "Twin Peaks Theme (Harp and Guitar)" on the Archive album). I also love the &qu...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)
Stray observation here, but I'm wondering if the twist ending of this Part (Audrey in some sort of dream/hospital/sanitarium) is the main reason that the 'Secret Lives of Twin Peaks' was rejiggered into two books, with only the second one detailing what happens in between series. Certainly, any refe...

Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)
As frustrated as I am that the 'real' Cooper has more-or-less been kept from us for the past 10+ episodes, saving his 'return' until the very end does allow them to avoid dealing (too much) with the baggage that comes with a 'man out of time' storyline. If he returned in episode 5 or 6, we'd undoubt...

Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)
I really was hoping that there would be some exchange of dialogue between Bobby and James in the jail cell scene. There's so much shared history between those two characters, I'm just curious what the status of their relationship is now. And, it would be a nice callback to that scene of them in the ...

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread
Very curious if this episode had a big uptick in onDemand and Showtime app viewing, given all of the buzz.

Re: Part 8 - Gotta light? (SPOILERS)
Not sure this has been suggested yet, but what if the bug isn't BOB but rather the seed of Laura Palmer, after an eleven year journey from the Giant's castle, the girl is Sarah Palmer with the implication is that Laura is an immaculate conception?

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread
I am a classic example- I would never get cable TV and thus never have Showtime, so I got the Showtime app. And even after Twin Peaks completely airs, they may have a loyal customer for a long time to come (I really enjoy that Showtime does not cut off the end credits like Netflix and other channel...

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread
The ratings are low, but the fact that they're climbing is a good sign. It's kind of the opposite of the original Twin Peaks that started off very strong and gradually eroded over time, with Episode 27 scoring the lowest ratings of all, and that was the last one to air in its usual time slot (the ac...

Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)
Fantastic episode! Convinced more than ever that we will see Ontkean at some point. If they can manage to get Warren Frost in for a Skype session, I don't see why they couldn't do the same for Harry - my feeling is they're saving his appearance for when the real Cooper is actually back in Twin Peaks...

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)
What about the guy that Evil Coop face-massaged to death?mtwentz wrote: So 9 onscreen- let me think about off screen.
Ruth, unidentified male (Briggs?), Jack- that makes 3. I cannot think anyone else, so that would make 12 total, onscreen + offscreen.

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)
I do think it's funny that, even within the warped passage of time in the Red Room, even MIKE is like "WAKE UP ALREADY, COOPER!" Even people in extra-dimensional realms are getting impatient. That said, the key is on its way to the Great Northern, Albert has located Diane, and my assumptio...

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)
If I have a complaint it would be that it's beginning to feel like Gerard's ability to contact Cooper-husk is too easy and could easily get to feel over-used if it continues. Furthermore, it somewhat diminishes the lodge/red room disquieting aura of mystery to have it pop in and out like this. Afte...
