Re: Twin Peaks on You Tube

I wasn't even really looking - just got curious to see if I could find any outlier promos from late '90/early '91 that I hadn't seen before. I found that massive video and thought I'd take a look. The time matched up so I was especially curious. I think I watched the first hour of the finale that ni...

Re: Showtime to Re-broadcast Original Series Early Next Year

More and more I am convinced (by nothing more than my own mind, of course) that it will be daily or close to it - that allows Showtime to create a relentless viral buzz and hype train. "Twin Peaks Month," etc. Articles on every site about every episode, reliving the entire phenomenon. Do ...

Re: Beyond Season 3?

There are nice things in most of the 'bad' episodes, sure. I think Uli Edel has some great sequences with Leo attacking Shelly and disappearing into the night, I think the handling of the Lana plotline at the sheriff's station is amusing if pointless; I think Windom Earle's introduction in that epis...

Re: Beyond Season 3?

Senseless or not, it's how the bulk of fandom and I believe critics and production staffers discuss the show. As per Reindeer's thoughts, I will agree to disagree - while I think some of episode 16 is too literal in deduction, I think it's ultimately the perfect marriage of Lynch v. Frost: Cooper be...

Re: Beyond Season 3?

I see nothing wrong with using these titles in casual conversation, for clarification's sake, and don't see why you apparently do ... Because they were never the show's creative intent, and because I think they're mostly terrible. You can use whatever numbering you like, but it's not the actual num...

Re: Beyond Season 3?

Your numbering is off by +1. Also the episodes don't have titles, those were added by a foreign distributor, I believe.

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/

FWIW: My bet on the book's mysterious author/compiler is Diane herself. Researching everything about Twin Peaks in the aftermath of what became of Dale Cooper. Cue the new series, where Diane is (ahem) rumored to appear. If some rumours are true then it's got to be Becky, The Young Reporter. It's l...

Re: What happened to Donna? (Casting Spoilers)

I don't think Lara Flynn Boyle ever particularly paid attention to, or probably even knew of, the issues fandom has had with her. I'm not sure that stories about LFB and Peaks even circulated very much outside small fan circles until the 2000s, as her career began to decline. But her reputation did ...

I don't know that she's bitter about it, but I understand she is somewhat reclusive these days.
