Re: Top 10 Songs From Twin Peaks

This list is woefully incomplete and seems to not include any of the songs that can be downloaded from David Lynch Dot Com. Where is: -Dark Mood Woods -Owl Cave -Audrey's Prayer Just You & I? I wasn't aware that there were tracks you could download from the website. I'm pretty much all over tha...

Re: Top 10 Songs From Twin Peaks

"Moving Through Time" from the FWWM album would definitely be high on my list. Through it doesn't feature much in the actual film, it is a really beautiful piece.

Re: Funniest moment in the series

One scene that cracks me up is Bobby and Shelly freaking out when Leo "comes back to life" and says "new shoes". Sad to say, but one of Eric DaRe's finest moments on the show!

Re: Jen directed this week's "Psych"

This probably isn't worthy of a new thread, but it seems Jennifer Lynch is also directing an episode later this season of "The Walking Dead" (episode 14, which won't air until 2015)...

Re: A Journey Through Twin Peaks: 4-part video series

I'm not talking about cliffhangers, I'm talking about the way the scene was constructed. Haven't seen much of Dallas but I'll go out on a limb and guess they didn't develop scenes like that. I really can't come up with a decent scenario where Pete survives that...

Re: A Journey Through Twin Peaks: 4-part video series

I was reminded going through the influx of news about Twin Peaks that Don Davis, Frank Silva and Jack Nance are no longer around to reprise their roles, which is unfortunate, but then I recalled that even if Jack Nance had been around, it'd be tough to bring back Pete after his fate at the end of th...

Re: Michael Ontkean Will Reportedly Return To Twin Peaks

Sheriff Truman is definitely one it'd be hard to imagine the story continuing without. Though Horse is just saying what he's heard, which doesn't sound definitive, I'm sure Lynch and Frost would ask Ontkean back. I'd like to see Horse back too, for that matter. It'd be nice if they can find a way to...

Re: David Lynch: Ranking His Movies From Worst To Best

I imagine every true Lynch fan would have a different list and most would be valid. I honestly couldn't rank them. There are so many different things that appeal to me about each one that it might depend on what mood I'm if I decided to truly rank them. I'd put Inland Empire, Mulholland Drive, Erase...

Re: A Journey Through Twin Peaks: 4-part video series

I just watched this... very well done and I'm looking forward to the next installments. My experience with the second season premiere largely echoes yours. I absolutely love everything about the opening scene, especially the exaggerated deliberate pacing. It still may be my favorite scene in the ent...

Re: Joan Chen Reflects on Twin Peaks

The plan was that Chen and James Marshall would both return to the show in season 3 after they were done shooting the movies they left to do. Josie in the drawer knob was sort of a "place-holder" for her. Her presence was actually written into a few of the final six episodes. And a double...

Re: Joan Chen Reflects on Twin Peaks

Josie, 25 years later, having escaped from a knob of wood, could potentially be much more interesting than she was in the series. I doubt it'll happen (or the Judy thing, for that matter), but I wouldn't object. I also had no idea Joan Chen asked to be written off the show... and honestly she's one ...

Re: Simultaneous Tweets from David Lynch & Mark Frost

I can understand wanting the show to be left as it is... even if the television/film series was never intended to end as it did. For me personally, it's just the opportunity to see more work in this medium by David Lynch. I would be just as excited to learn he is working on a new, original film or t...

Re: Simultaneous Tweets from David Lynch & Mark Frost

Mark Frost especially has always been quick to throw a wet rag on rumors of a revival in the past. It would be very out of character for him to ignite a rumor and fan the flames with his silence (granted it's only been a little over two days). But I'm sure all of us would be well advised to keep our...

Re: Simultaneous Tweets from David Lynch & Mark Frost

He can't just put someone else in a jean jacket and call him Bob. I agree this likely won't be the approach. But I'm not going to say that Lynch can't do this. If that's the solution Lynch feels is best, he can do it. One thing that would surprise me is if BOB's presence in the TP mythology is miti...

Re: Simultaneous Tweets from David Lynch & Mark Frost

I wouldn't have any problem with them recasting BOB if they felt BOB needed to reappear for the story. It's not ideal but I'd rather have them not have any restrictions with the narrative then change the story because the actor has passed. But Bob is above all a visual device, a visual device that ...
