Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

Kale was quite made up in the recent R.L. Stine send up movie (with Jack Black). Bad movie, but typical interesting character choice role. Sinister and way old, it borrowed a bit i am sure from his foray with Mr. C in season 3. He is good at bad. And his hair was made up...but maybe not that much. (...

Re: Freddie's fight scene in part 17

I thought of Freddie and his glove as an Excalibur metaphor. That in he being English and all that about destiny and selection. This along with Cooper as the Hero, a Lancelot if you will who is armed with the weapon to slay the beast...ie Freddie and his Avalonian Glove, Sent from my NEC-NE-201A1A u...

Re: RE: True Stories

Yes indeed. I believe this is one the most unsung masterpieces of 80s film Besides it be a marvelous showcase for some very excellent Talking Heads music, it , at the time was a slice of Americana that had up till then barely been told. It was magically cast, with folks like John Goodman, Swoozie Ku...

Re: Freddie's fight scene in part 17

I distinctly recall that early draft had plotted Jack Nance as the bearer of the green glove. Sadly this was not to be.

Yet it would have set this particular arc strataspheric if it only had been.

I can only imagine...

See the latest double episode Podcast drop from Twin Peaks Unwrapped for an in depth discussion of the book, and an interview with the author. Covered are some spoilers, and other items such as why the audio book is different than the published text. Good stuff. Sent from my NEC-NE-201A1A using Tapa...

Re: Listen to the sounds....

Record player is seen. Thats where the sounds are coming from. So it makes sense that it just may be a skipping record. In Episode 8, when we cut into the great cinemopolis and Senorita Dido, the Slow 30s music is playing. Notably this track skips and repeats quite obviously. Does it intend the same...

Consider this:

Fireman can also mean one who tends fires for a steam engine;
...or a stoker.

Consider.

Re: **LISTEN TO THE SOUNDS** - I've completed a 16.5 hour long downloadable "audiobook" version of Season 3.

Listened to the sounds. I was very drawn in and released within this. The absence of the visual cues put the narative on a different level of conscience and time spatiality. It concentrated the narative as well into clearer plot. No less amazing is the fantastic jump in parts 17 -18 when time comes ...

Re: What's your favourite scene from The Return?

Any scene with Diane (slash Diane-tulpa). From her splendid reveal as Laura Dern with Albert, through her interview with Mr.C; her subsequent deputization/betraryal with the BLue Rose TF. To her dispatch and apothesis in the Red Room... Only to return as Diane, truly and to then fade as never seen b...

Re: RE: Guillermo del Toro

Did anybody watch the Oscars or see "The Shape of Water?" I have read about this director in here somewhere. If you saw it, was it worth seeing? Yes. Well worth it. Del toro is a master story teller. I would also recomend his. 2006 fantasy, Pan's Labyrinth, which imho is a masterpiece. Yo...
