Re: Poll: Would you like to see a 4th season happen? (SPOILERS PERMITTED)
No because it felt like a definite end. But if Lynch and Frost feel it isn't, by all means.

Re: From an artistic standpoint, why was The Return needed at all?
I thought Lynch and Frost were unhappy with the cliffhanger of Season 2, and that's why the whole endeavor was started in the first place. Yet TR ends.. with a cliffhanger! It really is a cliffhanger, nothing is resolved, tons of theories floating around (are Cooper and Laura stuck in an alternativ...

Re: Richard and Linda, Lynch's Masterstroke (SPOILERS)
Making almost everything in Parts 1-16 irrelevant and starting the real story in Part 17 doesn't seem so masterful, in my opinion. He could have just made a 2-3 hour film about Cooper and Diane if that's what the actual story was about. If I have one criticism about the show then it would probably ...

Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)
There won't be a season four. There is a story to tell but the way I see it, it's too raw to go back to anytime soon. Ironically it needs another 25 year gap lol.

Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)
As frustrating and kinda devastating the finale was (I'm actually shocked, I always thought that they'd go for a BV/FWWM finale), it's nearly impossible for me not to connect with Cooper's strive for good. His strive to help Laura even beyond her death. Even if he shouldn't because no matter how ha...

Wow, that ending! I remember seeing Mulholland Drive at the cinema and last night's tops that by far.

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)
Where is all this negativity coming from? I wouldn't write off a Season 4 just yet - all can happen. Let's hope for the best. Just pre-ordered the OST, releasing on Sept. 8th. Hopefully a Blu-Ray set will turn up soon as well... Then Shwotime will see, what money can be made ;) I've pre-ordered bot...

A sadness is setting in - this will never ever happen again. But it's been so special.

Re: Roman Polanski petition and Lynch
I’ll tiptoe into this, I don’t want to generate bad feelings. I don’t follow Hollywood stuff at all, but reading about Lynch recently I came across the fact that he signed a petition to “free” Roman Polanski in 2010. I have enjoyed Polanski’s movies even though he is an admitted child rapist; I fee...

Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)
I don’t know what I’m reaching for here. Just some thoughts. Triggered by this episode in particular. What if the message of “the return” is simply: with all good removed from Cooper, we have “Evil Cooper” and conversely, with all evil removed from Cooper, we have “Dougie”. Both characters seem chi...

Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)
I felt like I was walking on air after Ed and Norma's scene. And then I was broken down in tears with Margaret's goodbye. What a rollercoaster. I am so grateful for this beautiful, beautiful show.

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
I see very little difference in the quality of work now with David Lynch as a filmmaker-artist in 2017 compared to him during his "peak" - whenever that was. If there is a misfire element to The Return then it's in the way it's released and structured. I would say that Lynch is ahead of th...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
Their twenty-second scene, exchanging a couple of lines about well-established aspects of the Mormon religion everyone already knows, didn't reveal much about anything for anyone's benefit. If anything the scene showed that they are very simple people making assumptions based on wrong or incomplete...

Re: Is Lynch better with constraints? (Spoilers)
I'd say no. Both sides of Lynch are good for different reasons. The only thing I'm not too keen on is when Lynch becomes overloaded with other musical talents, like in The Return with all the various bands, Johnny Jewel, Dean Hurley's music all on top of Badalamenti. Lost Highway is a great film but...
