Re: What would a Season 4 be about?
i'm reigning in my idealistic side and going with what i'd consider a realistic scenario. Coop and Laura's journey deeper into the Lodge. Minimise the location shooting and have it set based. Pared down cast and budget buys Lynch not only the creative freedom that he's used to but also the time to g...

Re: No Ray Wise?
I've never seen or heard anything legit indicating those roles were cut down from what was originally intended. And I heard a lot I didn't talk about. How the heck did Mordeen and you hear all this secret stuff? Friends with crew members of S3 or something? At least you're not as cryptic as Mordeen...

https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2018/08/how-twin-peaks-birthed-a-cottage-industry-of-obsessive-fans 'His latest Twin Peaks book title may include the word “final,” but Frost hopes the show will continue. Lynch, for his part, politely declined an interview for this story, explaining via a repres...

Re: General Discussion on the New Series (All Opinions Welcome)
I find it really odd that a year after the show has aired Showtime are still pushing it. A panel at comic con among other things. Just seems odd to keep milking it if they’re indeed done. Maybe they don't know whether or not it will continue, but because it might , they don't want it to fade from m...

Re: How would Lynch/Frost tackle Season Four?
I think BOB is done (and I loved Freddie and that ending for him - I found it very satisfying that this sweet naif took him apart). But I've been wrong before. I don't think it was ever between Cooper and BOB or ever will be. BOB was Laura's nemesis and Laura beat him in FWWM. BOB got dispatched fo...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
Funny that Hanging Rock's come up here. I hadn't thought of the film in years, but reading Frost's TFD brought to mind that excised chapter of the novel that pretty much conclusively answered many questions that the work itself didn't attempt to address.

Re: Season 3, The First Draft - Speculation etc.
I have a feeling the only Audrey scene in the original script is the confrontation with Richard. I also suspect the scenes with Gerstin Hayward were originally written to feature Donna instead. I love the idea of Philip Gerard's first appearance being his emergence from darkness in episode 17. I lo...

I took it to be an electrical cable overhead, near to where Mr.C was supposed to succumb to the pull of the cigarette lighter.

Re: Ray/Phillip Jeffries storyline
As it were... Capture.PNG Jokes aside, I don't think there's anything that unequivocally jumps out to spell out the reasons and/or details of Coop's fuck-up. But that's the impending mood of that final scene (it's wrong wrong wrong , I get the chills even when I'm just flipping through it to get sc...

Re: Ray/Phillip Jeffries storyline
I would not have put this together myself, either, since we are supposed to think of Cooper as a nearly perfect, thoughtful person throughout the original incarnation; at least that's how I mostly considered him. Like everything else, The Return decides to flip that notion on its head, and apparent...

Re: Ray/Phillip Jeffries storyline
No need for apologies, definitely a good post. I think that the problem in reading this work is that we still can’t piece all the “static” parts together, and then work backwards toward a reading of what has happened. The whole work starts with a very important conversation: listen to the sounds, 4...

Re: Ray/Phillip Jeffries storyline
As for Mr. C and his mysterious phone call, I think he's communicating with Judy/Sarah. I think she's leading on him and Ray throughout the whole series while they think they're communicating with Phillip Jefferies. This works as a good example for me for issues I have with that aspect of the story...

Re: Ray/Phillip Jeffries storyline
i'm fine with shifting the Fireman's scene everywhere, I tried many places when trying to get on board with the Coop Hubris theory. I'm not disputing it, Frost basically said it's what it appears to be, it just feels to me like we're supposed to base this on nothing more than Coop being confused in ...

Re: Ray/Phillip Jeffries storyline
There's a famous story about the 1946 film adaptation of Raymond Chandler's novel THE BIG SLEEP in which director Howard Hawks and the screenwriters got stuck on a plot point that, best they could tell, was unresolved in the book (I think it was the identity of a someone who shot somebody or someth...
