Cheers, I did end up buying the mp3s from iTunes. It's pretty good, some overly electo/synthy things in the first one that I didn't like that much, but overall it's fantastic. Hopefully I'll get the CD one day. The interesting thing is some of it reminds me of Mick Harris' LULL project. Harris was o...

Not being a big fan of "Boxing Helena" (but to be fair I haven't seen it in a long time), I still fully recognise it was an impressive debut and for someone to have worked and survived through the turmoil and controversy of making it should be congratulated. I hope the new Jennifer Lynch f...

I considered weighing in on this but wasn't sure quite how. brokentiny, I love your opening salvo: "They're both named David." Being a horror-film enthusiast, I've always considered Cronenberg's films to be firmly in that genre, and David Lynch's, not. Seems to me Cronenberg is exploring ...

They're both named David. I'm a fan of both, but for different reasons. Cronenberg is one of my favourate filmmakers, Lynch is one of my favourate artists full stop! Cronenberg's Dead Ringers, Naked Lunch, Crash, History of Violence, Spider, Videodrome. The man can make films. And he's really transc...

Yes, point taken, it was just a thought that came to mind, it probably has no specific place on this board other than it's Lynch related. Oh, not at all. That wasn't directed at you brokentiny, just in general. I think it would be interesting to discuss the film and what her intention was, if any, ...

I'm not sure or not if it would be disrespectful to discuss Jennifer Lynch's work on this board, so until a moderator sees this and responds, I won't post my thoughts. I will say that I went over to IMDb last night and found a quote from Jennifer, saying that the film was "a metaphor, and a co...

Within DL's fanbase?!? But that's even more ridiculous than the first comment! I'm a woman and I love Lynch's films. What's more...I love women! Not meaning to be offensive to any men around here, but I actually find women more fascinating, on the whole. : You see this I why I said that I find the ...

I've heard a few times of that accusation. I think it's incredibly offensive to accuse someone of being a misogynist. And as a huge fan (sometimes objective critic) I find it offensive personally. I can understand why people may see that on a very superficial level. The moments mentioned in the earl...

Thanks very much Fall of Sophia,
That must be a recent addition. That will certainly tide me over until I can find a CD copy. I notice they have the Ghost of Love single too.
Cheers

Hey there - I've seen it on EBay once or twice, very reasonably priced!
Cheers, I'll keep an eye out.

Hi all,
Just joined. From Hobart, Australia. Ever since "The Elephant Man", I knew Lynch was a one of a kind filmmaker and artist. I'm in the arts and he is one of my greatest influences and inspirations.

Hi all
Brand new here and thought this might be the topic to post in.
I too found it very rewarding, but must admit to have bought the talking book. It's great to hear Lynch's voice and the nice little bits of his signature wind (which as nothing to do with gas!!!) is a nice touch.
Cheers
