Re: interesting quotes from Robert Engels interview (WIP#58)
I love that Robert Engels interview. It's my favourite issue of Wrapped In Plastic. As much as I adore Fire Walk With Me, the 'mythology' surrounding Mike, BOB and the black lodge, as outlined by Robert Engels, is awful and I'm glad they never got to elaborate on it. Twin Peaks deserves better than ...

Re: DL guest edits Wallpaper*
I bought this magazine at the weekend. David Lynch has put together a nice foldout of cultural symbols representing 'unity' but the interview is exactly like every other interview DL has given over the last five years.

Re: Where to find foreign David Lynch film posters
That poster site is insanely overpriced. You'll find them all eventually (and for a fraction of the cost) if you persevere with eBay.

Re: Lynch Three Project
The scary thing is I'd still have paid it (and then complained bitterly for the rest of my life)!Pete Martell wrote:Sorry, my post is now corrected!

Re: Most emotional moment in TP/Lynch history?
I've always thought the saddest scenes were Cooper in the Roadhouse, Donna reading Laura's final diary entry, and Leland's death scene. Maybe it's because I'm older and more world weary but I've become susceptible to subtler scenes, like Audrey praying in One Eyed Jacks and getting into Pete's car o...

Re: DavidLynch.com - no new members and sad demise
It's funny, because it seems like a lot of sites are slowly dying... I wonder why? Blogs and social networking sites have changed the way people use the Internet. There's no point spending thousands of pounds on an official site if you can communicate faster and more directly with people via Facebo...

Re: Lynch Three Project
I was pleasantly surprised to discover the $55 mentioned by Pete Martell included the $50 donation + $5 postage. I thought at first they were asking for a donation of $50 + $55 shipping. The shipping costs on davidlynch.com have made me wary of committing myself to anything Lynch endorsed until I've...

Re: Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse Present Dark Night Of The Soul
I'm not going to buy the box set because I have the Dark Night of the Soul book, the vinyl's useless and I'm running out of space. I bought the UK CD and downloaded the album from iTunes, which is enhanced with photos and videos. http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/9674/screenshot20100719at100.png ht...

Re: Lynch to direct third installment of Christian Dior ads
Exactly. I know you're supposed to suffer for your art but pretty much everything he's ever done has attracted vicious criticism from one direction or another, whether it's the media, financial backers, or fans. David Lynch could be earning huge amounts of money directing big budget films, a la Ridl...

Re: Lynch to direct third installment of Christian Dior ads
I still have absolute faith in David Lynch. I've been a fan of his work for twenty years and I can't remember a time when people weren't questioning his talent or integrity. People wrote him off after Fire Walk With Me was released and he went on to make Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive. Some peopl...
