Re: 18 hours- will it turn out to be too long?

With the run time, one thing that concerns me is whether Lynch and company had enough time to satisfyingly write and film something that's eighteen hours. I don't know the correct version of why Lynch left, whether it was over money or if he and Frost discovered it would take double the originally p...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

If the "difficult" tweet coupled with the reddit comment about needing to have the original fresh in mind are to be taken at face value, I wonder if that means the new show starts off in the red room for a while. What's the "difficult" tweet? Against my better judgment, I'm curi...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

Probably just a fluff piece, but ABC'S "Nightline", currently airing, will have a segment on the show in a few minutes.

Re: Confess your Twin Peaks sins

Even though this is my most anticipated and agonized over piece of entertainment this year, I won't be watching Sunday. I'm trying to re-watch the series and read at least part of the Frost book, which will go into next week. I wouldn't be watching it before Thursday or Friday. Don't know if I want ...

From the "Comedy Central Roast of James Franco" -- Seth Rogen to Jonah Hill -- "Some people say you remind them of a young Belushi . . . Jim Belushi."

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

So it doesn't look like Lynch is doing any talk show appearances, at least this week, right?

Re: Confess your Twin Peaks sins

I consider the movie to be fundamentally flawed, and feel that some superfans refuse to acknowledge the flaws in it out of a sense of loyalty.

Peggy Lipton's performance is like week-old pie at the RR.

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/18

I'm late to the party on this. I was going to rewatch the series and read this book before watching the new show. However, watching the show itself will take me into next week, and the book a lot longer. I wanted to watch the premiere sometime next week. Would you say it's important to read this who...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

If this hasn't been posted, "Good Morning America" (on ABC no less) has a cast reunion scheduled for Wednesday morning.

Re: The Random Twin Peaks Thread

A couple more random questions as I rewatch the show for the first time in years. In Episode 2, was that Lynch saying "G'night Ed!"? Also, who directed the "Invitation to Love" clips, as I assume they were done at one clip?

Re: The Random Twin Peaks Thread

Lynch is not the type who would approve or not on what people want to be doing. He'd probably say 'it's a beautiful thing' that people can watch something any way they want. That's actually not the case. In his "Inland Empire" DVD interview, he talked about how he dislikes that screen siz...

Re: The Random Twin Peaks Thread

Since this is a TV show and not a movie, I wonder if Lynch will approve of people watching it on their fvcking telephones. I certainly won't watch it on my fvcking telephone, but I'm curious about his thoughts on the matter.

Re: The Random Twin Peaks Thread

Thanks guys. That's surprising both because Spielberg would have directed a TV property he didn't develop/produce and that Lynch possibly hadn't intended to direct it originally. I thought that Lynch didn't direct more in season 1 because of "WaH", but even without that, was he not plannin...

Re: The Random Twin Peaks Thread

Random question -- I re-watched the pilot for the first time in a few years. Was Mark Frost the one reading the news on the broadcast in Leo's place? I thought I read it was him, but he's not on the cast list. It's him, and he even reprises the character in the SHOTP audiobook. Thanks. I recall he ...
