Yes, that's what he meant, I feel.

Re: Emmy Nominations thread

This was the first year in quite a few that I even looked at nominations or winners. I watch the two main movie awards shows, but not TV. The amount of SJW insanity is off putting in the movie ceremonies enough that the Emmys are too much. Also, too many categories, networks, and shows that I don't ...

Re: Emmy Nominations thread

The show didn't win anything at the creative arts Emmys, not even hairstyling for Mr. C's glorious locks. I doubt they'll win the writing award, but I feel Lynch has a strong possibility to get the directing award, less because the voters watched or liked the show than as a career award. Ryan Murphy...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

As far as money and Showtime, if it does continue, I think we can all agree it's likely to be shorter. Something shorter, probably for less or hopefully the same amount of money might be on the order of what Lynch would want to do. I just hope they work out the details before writing their script so...

Re: Silencio (Paris Club)

Interesting. I haven't read any details on the place (not that I'm likely to be in Paris or that I could get in). Are you able to post your photo of the theater? How big was it in seats and screen size, would you say?

Re: Best home release?

Is any U.S. BD planned for this, or would be possible? Of course the quality wouldn't be much better, but the last time I watched it on DVD was the first on a new set which has "full pixel" and gives you the whole image free from overscan. The DVD had a very clear line down the right edge ...

Re: Shout Factory Collector's Edition Blu-ray out May 22, 2018

For some reason I don't have much of a desire to watch the deleted scenes of this or "BV". While I want to watch The Missing Pieces, and own the set, I haven't watched them. "BV" in particular is so tight as is that I don't want another perspective. "Wild" has some flaw...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

Well, all I can say, again, is that I don't support any continuation unless Lynch directs the whole thing. Anything less, no thank you.

Fill me in. What is this Twin Peaks Archive, and why/how do they have inside information, if they do?

Re: One year later - how are we feeling?

Did you watch it in Blu Ray? I bought the set a few months ago so I wouldn't miss out, but actually haven't even cracked the wrapper yet. I can't imagine it would look any better, and the crispness would be even more evident (I watched the show through my Comcast cable). The show needed to be degra...

Re: One year later - how are we feeling?

As far Lynch's dialogue ability, even though people keep saying he is mistrustful of words, the dialogue of "BV" is absolutely brilliant. It's his most quotable work, and not just the oft-referenced Frank stuff. Jeffrey and Sandy have some wonderful exchanges, and Jeffrey and Dorothy. The ...

Re: Shout Factory Collector's Edition Blu-ray out May 22, 2018

I just got my replacement disc and it has a silent menu, so I guess it was a rumor that this is what they fixed. The discs seem identical in every way except the packaging. Does anyone know what they did? I didn't get one yet, but recall a review from a few months ago that audio briefly drops out a...

https://25yearslatersite.com/2018/08/07/duwayne-dunham-discusses-twin-peaks-working-with-both-lynch-george-lucas-the-happy-worker-more/ Interesting interview with Duwayne Dunham, especially talking about watching "Eraserhead" in a theater with Kubrick and Lucas. He mentions how he cut S3 w...

Re: Emmy Nominations thread

As for Lynch, I get the feeling he's not motivated very much by awards. But man, what I wouldn't give to see his acceptance speech!!! He'd start talking about some table he's just built, or some tree he just saw in the woods; they'd have to yank him off stage! Then he'd probably hang his Emmy above...

Re: Emmy Nominations thread

What the hell do awards matter, especially in this day and age? They're all about politics, and the Oscars (with the Emmy's I'm sure following suit) have all but stated that racial and sexual "diversity" is now their number one criterion when deciding nominees. I still watch the Oscars bec...
